Took me awhile to find and edit this, but I just had to post this picture of Peter Boyle as "Lazlo".
That's Bill Murray of course in the background, as HST. Truth be told, I like Johnny Depps HST a little better. However, I prefer Peter Boyles "Lazlo" over Benecio del Toro's anyday. This is how I like to remember the guy as an actor.

When Mel Brooks filmed the movie, he paid an astronomical sum to get the original lab equipment used on the set of the 1931 movie Young Frankenstein was spoofing...he wanted the film to look as much like the original as possible, even filming it in black and white. Peter Boyle and the other members of the cast came together in what can only be described as magic. One of the greatest comedies ever made, the film would not have been anywhere close to as good without Peter Boyle's hilarious facial expressions directed into the camera. He never utters a single line until the last ten minutes of the movie...

If you can ever find 'Steel Yard Blues' aka 'Final Crash' starring Donald Sutherland, Jane Fonda, Howard Hessman, and Peter Boyle its well worth the purchase price. The mid 70's movie is out of print, and hard to find, but Peter Boyle's take off of Marlon Brando will have you on the floor. The movie 'Joe' is worth a rent too. (A pre 'Rocky Horror' Susan Sarandon full body shot is hot). Peter Boyle you will be missed.

Peter Boyle will be missed, no doubt. One of, in my opinion, the funniest movies of all time is "Young Frankenstein" and he was just amazing in that role.
RIP Peter Boyle and our thoughts and prayers go out to your family, friends and many fans.
