There is a online radio broadcast that I listen to each MP3 is about 60 minutes long,
There are a few songs that I want to save by themselves. Is there a free program out there that I can “crop” out the song that I want?

No, no, no, no, no. Virtualdub is for AVIs and other video files. I don't know about Audacity.

If you completely download each MP3 then play it, mp3DirectCut is for you. Anything else, and you end up re-encoding the audio, causing a major loss in quality. mp3DirectCut is a little odd to use at first but actually cuts the data apart instead of modifying and re-encoding it.

Audacity rocks. Copy and paste as new file the segment of the music you want and save with new file name. Simple.

I second Audacity.

Been using it to digitize some old cassette tapes to CD and MP3.

For a free program, high marks for ease of use and quality of the end product. Now getting into layering multiple tracks into one audio program.

Ooh, I thought it was a typo.

Seriously though. Unless someone can tell me that Audacity can directly copy MP3 data without re-encoding it, quit recommending it! >.<

Well, mp3DirectCut is free and designed exactly for the job you need (Audacity is an all around audio editor)... he could probably use that program too. It can't hurt to give that a try too...?

Oh gawd, yeah, I remember reading that thread. Then I was like, WTF is a theramin? Does it hold coffee? Do I use it at the toilet? Oohh, I see. You wave at it. Very chic.
