I have to say that it looks pretty cool........I doubt it would last very long though. I guess it depends on how good it lands. . Pretty good price.........I've paid more for just a controller.......I may just have to get one and give a review on how good it is. thanks for posting the link.

This thing is so awesome! Unfortunately, taking out the battery is very hard to do! I was still amazed with this thing though.

This is a great toy!

I have had this thing for 2 weeks and it is an absolute blast. It is easy, fun and durable.

I waited a long time for this, and I must say I'm disappointed. I've got a pontoon half ripped off. Novice mode doesn't allow enough control to keep it in the air. The model is underpowered, and I can only get airborne from the pavement or by throwing it. Removing the battery pack is also very hard to do.

It's so much fun!

This thing is awsome. I'm a pro RC heli pilot and I have to say that this thing is as fun as my best 3D heli is. It's a blast!

The Storm Launcher is an R/C Phenomenon! A friend of mine got one before they were available in stores, and I had a chance to pilot the unit myself. This thing has endless possibilities! Talk about fun. It is very light weight so attempting to fly in the wind is not recomended. If there are high winds on the ground as well, it tends to drift with the air currents. Extremely cool new development!

September 08, 2006 - Review by Chetspartan

The Storm Launcher is quite durable and repairable as well. I've slammed curbs at full speed and taken nose dives from 30' that made it bounce 3' off the ground and have yet to 'break' anything. It screams across pavement, gravel and short dry grass. Take it to the water and it's a blast doing snap turns and then taking off into the air and touching back down again.

The battery was impossible to get out once locked in place, then the servos for the elevators went spastic even after adjusting the trim. And lastly the props weren't even turning, believe me I tried everything to get it to work. I would not suggest this product.

This thing is awesome!

I was at an Air Show last weekend and saw the Storm Launcher in action, this is by far the coolest RC vehicle I've ever seen. It took off from the grass, dirt, and even water; it did loops and all kinds of crazy stunts, it was totally awesome! I've owned a few different Air Hogs; they're my favorite planes, and this is by far the best one I've ever seen.

I'm very tempted. I have heard it might be wise to hold off till they got the kinks out. Saw them in the store yesterday, and I resisted.

I'm a fan of the airhogs stuff, just save your receipt. Two of my airhogs were defective. (only one of the two motors worked).

I have done some nasty crashes, and they shrugged 'em off.

Just remember that that Storm launcher isn't a speed demon, it's slow, and fun.

I have one - it's pretty fun. I bought a battery from an RC store online though because when I purchased my SL, no one had the batteries in stock. It's great on the pavement and fun to try and do tricks with but you really do need some experience with RC planes before you try one. I bought a couple Air Hogs Aero Ace (jet style) planes at my local ToysRUs and they are just as much fun with 1/3 the difficulty and price. If you are interested in a StormLauncher you should check out some of the threads on WattFlyer.com.

There have been plans for a homemade "hydrofoam plane" like that around the net using foam and a brushless motor like from a cd rom drive. Here is a cool vid about the planes I saw a while back >> http://www.bofunk.com/video/3420/rc_hydroplane.html

we all get a kick out the near miss air collision seen from an onboard camera. Looks like a scene out of a nascar race, lol
