Ok when I am burning dvd's I see an option of using multiple recorders. This may be a dumb question but. Does that mean I can hook up say 2 external burners and burn 2 copies of something at the same time?

thanks

Yes. I built a dubbing-computer for a client with three identical DVD-burners which was used to burn multiple copies (three at a time) of DVDs he had created for his customers.

An old, slow computer works well for this task as copying discs does not require a lot of horsepower.

ok, my dvd burner in my laptop went out and since I knew it would be a while getting it back I picked up an external that is working great. I was wondering if when the internal comes back I could use both. (planned on testing that idea when it arrives) who knows when LOL.

Now today I come across a good price on another external and am tempted to get it too. I think I will now thanks.

While I can't buy one right now. I would be very interested at a later date in a duplicator machine if you wanted to make one to sell to me. looking for atleast 5 copies at a time, maybe more.

thanks

The shipping would kill you from here.

A dubbing/duplicator machine is something any computer geek could easily assemble. My only concerns would be that it might be necessary for all burners to be identical, so that burning speeds would be consistent among all burners (which is the way I did it), and I’m also not sure if there’s a limit as to how many burners that Nero could control at once. (I know it will handle at least three.) However, this is info which is probably easy enough to find on the ‘net if need be.

ahhhhhh ok. So your saying you wouldn't want to drive it down here and maybe hit a fiero event while your in the USA? lol

I keep thinking it would be a simple thing to make....if I had any computer knowledge. I figure a big case, several drives the same as you mentioned.....but ummmm I wouldn't know how to put it all together.

Maybe some plans written up? maybe with big colorful pictures to guide me? hahahaha
