I am temporarily using a DSL modem and my wireless router. With them both I constantly the NAT error on Azureus. (tried others as well and similiar problem).

Now lets see if I can describe what I think the problem is.

The DSL modem gives me an ip address of 192.168.1.XX

The Router tells me the ip address is 192.168.0.1XX

shouldn't they be both giving me the same IP address? Suggestions on how to fix this?

I have disable any firewalls/anti virus so I know the problem isnt those.

sounds like the DSL modem has a DHCP server set for the 192.168.1.xxx address range, which the router picks up, then the router DHCP server is set for 192.168.0.xxx. this actually shouldnt be a problem. if you want to connect directly to the DSL modem, you will need to get the router of the way, or use a USB cable, if it has a connection for it. or, use the router as a hub/switch, with DHCP disabled, and let the DSL modem assign internal addresses

and, if you plan on opening ports for some type of server, you need to know your external IP address of the DSL modem
