Well this year has been fun but thats it for this magical tour in the giant sandbox. I am actually writing this from the FOB MWR where I will soon be headed out from on my way stateside again. I would be going home to a new Fiero as well if I hadn't gotten divorced while I was here (Kinda cuts the funds down a bit). Now its just a lookin' and dreamin' for that right one to come across either in Alaska or in or near Michigan. Well mostly just wanted to say thanks for giving me a lot to look forward to in ideas and in support this last year.

Fairbanks ain't to far from Anchorage, but unfortunatly I'm trading mine for a truck.
Theres a few for sale here, even a V-8 one that comes up for sale once a year, for $5,000!
It would need more work then you would want to do, anyway!

1. Smoking & burning a quart of oil every 2 weeks.
2. Engine starting to slightly knock.
3. Transmission is starting to feel funny. Torque converter sometimes almost doesn't dissengage, trying to kill the engine.
4. Frontend is shot & needs rebuilding. (shimmies, floats at highway speeds, tires squeel around slow cornering)
5. Sometimes, when you go around a corner fast, the engine momentarily stalls electricly, then comes back in the streightaway.
6. WILL NOT PASS IM.
7. If it sets for longer then a week, the battery dies.
8. Poor idle.
9. Baddly cracked windshield.
10. Needs a FULL break job. (leaky, worn, pulsing)
11. When you turn a sharp corner, sometimes the horn sticks on. (disconnected)
12. Heatercore blown & bypassed.
13. Turn signal clicker broke. Have to turn off manually.
14. Plastic interior parts warped & cracked, cloth torn & saggy.
15. Body creaks and groans.
16. Suspension is shot (soft & sloppy) & rattles.
17. Some body parts starting to crack.
18. Radio don't work.
19. Cigarette lighter don't work. (isn't the lighter or fuse)
20. No matter how tight I get the new alternator belt, squeels when first started. (guessing bad pulley)
21. Front hood cable broken.
22. Outside mirror glass & housing broken on drivers side.
23. Antenna broken off inside fender.
24. Paint chipping.
25. Front radiator airdam warped, broken, cracked, and hanging.

Hey Zack!

Welcome home!! Feels pretty good huh?
I'm glad you made it back safe and sound.
Thanks for keeping me updated on everything over there (are you still seeing that girl?)
It helps when I hear from you guys, I know you are doing okay, and I have one less thing to worry about.

Enjoy the states!!

Take care,

Dar

Psychosis39, you keep your head down over there, please pop in and let us know how you are doing!
And thanks for the nice things you wrote in my thread about my daughter going to basic......she actually liked basic!!

Well thanks guys. Dar its great to hear from you. I actually still have the letters and tickets you sent to me. They will be arriving with the rest of my gear very soon. I really appreciated what you did for me as small as it may seem. Oh and I will check my PMs in a second. Thanks again for the support guys/girls.

Thanks for the pm. I'd be intrigued to hear more about what we discussed in the pm's. I'd much rather hear from a CPL than read the official report.

Zack, I'm glad my few rambling letters to you helped make your day. I was hoping you'd win one of the prizes, but no such luck. I guess you needed all the luck you could get being over in the sandbox. Once again, I'm glad you made it home safe and sound, take care and enjoy yourself while you're home!!
