I am thinking of moving and I wanted to know if anyone here has had any success with Monster.com or HotJobs.com for finding a new job.

i've had so-so luck with monster. sent in about 4-5 apps/resumes/ got a hit on Fed-ex. got an interview, liked the job but they were not willing to pay out the money needed. salary job, nights, and they could not guarantee when i'd go home. i've played that game before..

good luck in your job hunt. be patient and persistent.

KN- what do you do? what can you do? what are you looking at?

sometimes local papers are the best place to look. i've seen ads for positions 100's of miles away, they are just looking and shoot out ads to big papers. some might say that papers are outdated, maybe but there is still a lot of help wanted ads?

anyway, getting your foot in the door is the hardest part. i've never had an interview where i wasn't offered the job. if you can get in and talk to the HR/boss/hiring dept you should get the job. have a SMART friend read over your resume. you can look over it a dozen times and miss something. one out side person can look at it and tell you misspellings and how to word things better.
hope this helps.

I haven't used those sites in a long time, but had noticed they seemed to be flooded with positions from Agencies.

Finding work thru the agencies can save you alot of time. You basically tell them everything, fill out their paperwork/tests etc.. and they set you up with interviews. These interviews in my opinion seemed to be just a formality (to make sure your not a complete waste of time) lol.

www.adecco.com

www.manpower.com

www.kellyservices.com

just a few off the top of my head, there are plenty more.

"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul"

Be sure to join Careerbuilder, too.
I have gotten WAY more leads there than on Monster.
The more resources you use, the more/better results you will have.
