There are quite a few programs, I don't recall which ones are free. Google is your friend! I typed in .mov to .wmv

If you're looking for a player besides Quicktime, try media player classic, it plays almost anything, including the dreaded Real media, I haven't had realplayer on my machine for 3 years.
