I turned on HBO by accident last night, and it was on. Along with all the other pay channels.

Is this something done buy mistake or is anyone else getting this?

direct tv dose that about once a year for a short time, to get people to buy the extra chanals. i use to be an installer for direct tv about 2 years ago.

i have dish network and they do that a couple times a year. kinda a promo thing to get people to buy their channels. i really like it when skin-a-max had their free channels. whoo-hoo!

This is no promo.

When they do that in between movies they say its a promo.

They are not saying that, also you get an email on the tv saying its free.

None of that is happening, everything is free. Not just HBO and showtime but also Boom is free and all the other pay channels.

Call Showtime-HBO-ec and ask if it's a promo or if you are getting it by mistake. I'm sure they'll make it right either way.

I feel certain that it's a trial promo, but I'm not going to call and ask as Don suggests, I'll just enjoy it while it's free.
