It'll never happen.
The comet section will hit next Thursday.
It's going to cause a 600ft tidal wave and clear off the east coast and remove Florida. (and the west coast of europe and africa)
It's also going to disrupt the atlantic currents and cause another ice age.
The poles will reverse, our orbital path will change and the asteroid will miss us in 2880!
(Unless we ask for help from the extra-terrestial friends. )

If you live in the shaded areas........It's time to take that vacation or learn how to tread water.

800-plus years????

forget it. The way society is going, we have less than 100. The asteroid might kill off a few cocroaches, but humans?

I doubt there will be any left by then.

Nah. Society will exist for enough time to populate other planets and continue to populate. The only thing I see that will terminate every single human is nuclear wars and plague. Other than that, humans are too diverse and spread out on every corner of the globe. I think there was actually time where there was about a couple thousand of humans left but overcame. We're too technological right now to just have every human gone by 100 years. The thing I hate is government kinda decides human progression. Who gets to use nuclear bombs. Who doesn't get to use them. We just stand behind the government.

I'm not to worried about it lol.
First of all, I might be dead by then.
Second, we'll have lazers and stuff by then to blow them away
Thrid, we'll all be living on Mars by then because the Earth will be very polluted, so no one will care.

You'll definitely be dead by then.
And we don't even know if we can terraform a planet with a reasonable time.
