A new company called TherMex Tech has released a new thermal compound, and hopes to de-throne Artic Silver 5 as the king of thermal compounds. To spread the word, they are temerarly giving away free samples.
Just go to their website, and request a free sample. (I sent an email requesting a sample on 12-19, and I received mine in yesterday's mail).
Thinkcomputers tested this compund against Artic Silver 5, and you can read the results here.

I dunno.
I haven't tried it out yet, but plan to as soon as I get my new heatsink fan. I figure that if it can cool as good as Arctic Silver, and is easier to clean off than AS5; I'll definately be a customer of theirs.

The funny part was, my fiancee thought that Fierorumor sent us some mantids; and was all excited when the small box arrived. (She waited till I came home from work to open the box). The first thing that she asked me when I came home was, what state Fierorumor lives in. She was disappointed when I told her New York, and she even more disappointed to learn what was actually in the box.

Awwww, sorry man.. I wonder where the heck those egg cases wound up? I'll be sure to snag a few and send them during the next week or so.
Thanks for the "head's up" on the grease!
