It's soooooo hot in Alabama right now, that I thought that I would try to make a gallon of good old fashoned lemonade like my grandmother used to make.

The problem is that my Mother took her familys fresh squeezed old fashoned lemonade recipie with her to her grave, and I am used to drinking a gallon or so every summer. I'm really dying for some and she always made it from scratch from her head(Seems like she used to make a syurp with the water and sugar, but any recipie will do.)

I searched the internet and they all claim to be the best. Of course they all can't be the best.
So I decided to narrow the search to here, where you can get multiple answers to any question.

If you have or know of a recipie for fresh-squeezed(not using lemon juice or frozen lemonade mix) please post it here or post a link.

If you would prefer to send it to me in a PM if it is something you would not want the whole world to know about.

Let's see those fresh-squeezed lemonade recipies!

The best lemonade is up to your own taste. Just add lemon juice to the water till you get the desired tarness and sugar till you get the desired sweetness. It's a balance of sweetness and tartness. Oh and you want the best water possible, unless you like that tap water taste.

Don't forget to add a pinch of salt!

(I know, I never thought to put salt in there, but a teeny bit DOES improve it a bit.)

lemons, water, brown sugar, add rum or vodka to taste. Or just a Mike's or a Doc's.
