Okay, so I think i broke my foot today and my friend was going to give me some hydrocodone... I just need to know how long they stay in your system, because i have a drug test for a job comming up.
You aren't going to see a doctor and get an x-ray? A friend of mine had a buddy pass away last week - 33 years old - he messed up his ankle and waited a few days before he made a doctor's appointment. There was a blood clot that formed, and it killed him.
Not sure that seeing a doc sooner would have saved his life, but it's best not to take chances. BEsides, I'm sure a doc can give you more yummy pain meds if you need them...as well as anti-inflammatory stuff. Sorry to hear you hurt yourself...

Just tell the Doctor that you took some and it he,ped. Unless he's a heartless bastard or the part of the foot you broke was a toenail, he should likely hook you up with a script. No worries.

considering hydrocodone is basically an opium derived narcotic, I imagine it stays in your system for a while. As for your drug test, odds are when you go to the doc, he will likely prescribe vicodin (hydrocodone is generic) or some other pain medication related to vicodin. You shouldn't have any problem with the drug test as long as you notify them that you will be positive for opium and have a valid and current prescription.

You'll fail the drug test because even though it's a legal drug, it's legal only if taken via a legitimate prescription to you. Best bet? If you really want the job you should go to the emergency room tonight, tell them that you self-treated with the drug, ask the attending if he's willing to do a receipt showing you took one dose, and take that with you to the test tomorrow. That, or postpone the test, though that alone will probably disqualify you for the position.
goto the emergency room and tell the doctor you are taking perscription drugs without a perscription
then ask the doctor to commit a felony and write you a phoney perscription so you can pass a drug test.
This should be real interesting!
when they give you your one phonecall, give one of us a ring so we know what happened to you
how bout this instead: "Hello, I was suppose to come in for a job interview but I broke my foot, and have a doctors appointment - can I reschedule, maybe a week from now - I cant walk...."

In your world, Ken Witless, everything is black or white, except for Rush Limbaugh, he get's a free pass for using illegal drugs for years, but in the case of the person with the broken foot he made a bad mistake. Most real people, those with depth and breadth of personality, would understand or at least be willing to listen. You, of course, are so one dimensional that you can't comprehend anything outside of your rigorous and narrow purview. Keep living that 1-D world there Witless, maybe it'll get you somewhere in it.
do you have to make an ass out of yourself in every single thread you poke your nose into?
if he goes to the doctor tomorrow and gets a similar perscription the honest way (the doctor gives it to him because of his medical condition, not because he asks for it) then he has no problems
and there is no reasonable person who would not understand him asking to postpone his drug test when he has a broken foot.
Do you know doctors that will risk their license for some kid who walks in off the street with a good story? "I only took one pill, yesterday, I swear...."
you dont think doctors have heard it all before?
if he listens to your stupid advice he could end up in jail, or at the very least with reports on his medical records of illegal drug use.
