And I was the one doing the raging… so I’m driving down the street with the special dog (Loki), and I pass a 03 or 04 hummer, a little down the road we both stop at a red light and he decides he wants to be a prick or something and turns on his massive system. The vibrations start rattling my tracker… well Loki doesn’t like loud sounds (they freak him out) and he starts having a fit barking and bouncing all around… oh he also pees when he’s having a fit… well I got kid of pissed that this guy just turned on his system to be annoying… not really even to enjoy it but just to be a prick.
So in a single moment of either stupidity or bravery or both… I fling a full cup of soda at him an nail his shoulder causing the cup to burst all over his face and head. He shuts his system off and starts yelling at him saying things like “get the f*** out of the car” and “im going to kill you”. That’s when I said my dog doesn’t want to hear that s***. He then opens the door and tells me to get out. I say nope, and the light turned green and I hit the gas. I then turned into a neighborhood and lost the guy…
I don’t normally care about loud systems… but I was already in a bad mood and then of course no one likes to have their dog piss all over their car… so how out of line was I? What would you have done?
I think I did well… maybe the prick learned a lesson about being an ******* .
You were way out of line man - you should just be glad that the guy didn't have a firearm or other heavy object handy in his hummer. I know how annoying loud stereos can be, but hey, the ugly fact is last time I checked they are legal. What you did, on the other hand was not, and if depending on how laws are in your state you could be charged for assault for throwing you soda at him.
My advice, chillout when driving and leave the pooch at home. Things could have gotten real ugly with what you did - just be glad the guy wasn't more of a prick then he was. I know if someone threw a drink through my window, hitting me and causing a general mess in my car, I would have likely reacted with a heck of a lot more than harsh language.

IMHO Dez you and your dog were insulted first. You achieved desired results by getting him to shut his system off. Then you avoided trouble by putting distance between you and your offender. My biggest problem with this is you didn't have any pics
Shame on you we need pics.

I had a guy behind me in the drive-through with his stereo blasting so loud that the employees could not hear me at the window. His windows were down and he was kind of 'caddy cornered' behind me in my Suburban....with a high compression 454, 2.5 inch pipes and Flowmasters pointed straight into his car. I just bumped the old truck up into neutral and proceeded to deafen the guy. He must have got the message because when I finally let the truck come back down to an idle, you could hear crickets chirping I like what you did even better!

Hahahahaha Dezie good work man. I know you did what a lot of people would love to do, illegal or not. Damn where's the camera when you need one, right? Perfect "owned" picture .
As far as I see it you didn't really do anything wrong. There's no reason for his stereo to be loud enough to make your dog piss in your car. His action was harming you, so you did the right thing. It was even better than you drove off like that, getting into a fight with him probably could have gotten you in jail.

Waiting at light. Next guys music too loud. Dog pisses self. Throw coke in guys face. Take off. Chase insues. Results in loss of life.
Waiting at light. Next guys music too loud. Dog pisses self. Light changes in 3 minutes. Takes dog home after realizing that dog doesn’t like loud sounds (they freak him out) and he also pees when he’s having a fit. Thinks about how the world OUTSIDE his yard is full of loud noises and other things that could make a dog get excited. (like someone walking up to thier own car with a armfull of grocerys at the store and having the dog in the next car jump up and go maddawg at the window) Decides to get dog trained to react ONLY when given orders to do so. Until then, no rides.
Waiting at a stoplight. Next to guy working a jackhammer at a construction site. Dog pisses self. Throw Coke in workers face. Wake up drinking soup through straw.
Assault is NEVER the answer. I can tell you if someone threw a coke in my car, tempers would have flared, and things would have gotten COMPLEATLY out of control, before either of us would have had a chance to act rationaly. It's all about rational...............NOT reactional! We are talking about 3 MINUTES, that could have changed you life FOREVER! Not worth it.
Thankfully a lot of places are passing noise ordenances that prohibit blasting those stupid trunk-rattling sound systems. I like loud music as much as the next guy, but face it, the only purpose in having systems as loud as some that are out there is just purely and attention-getting thing. A "hey look at me I'm really cool" kinda thing. No one really listens to it that loud except to be annoying. When you demand the attention of everyone around you, you need to be prepared for some of it (most of it given the crap that's often being spewed from the speakers), to be negative. Right or wrong, you're my hero. But you do need to be careful. I'm glad the guy didn't come after you with a tire iron. I dunno what I would have done were I him, but then, I wouldn't have my stereo up that loud to begin with. I have yelled at guys before that not everyone wants to hear their sh*t music. Most get belligerent, but I make sure they're smaller than me first...

Waiting at light. Dog pisses self all over G/Fs Tracker How can I get out of this, and make myself sound like a hero in the process?
I was by the garage, and there was this ice-sickle, and it fell...and hit the car.... no thats no good, its May already....
I was at a stop light, and there was this car, no...SUV, no.......there was this HUMMER!.... yeah I like that..
Yes Ken your right you called me on it and I bend... I made it all up... Ive been taking my story telling lessons from GWB I guess thats why you saw right threw my facade...
Yes guys I know the physical violence that could have ensued... I was very very lucky. But to give you a bit more info as now that I’m actually sitting at a computer and can respond. I had been stuck in traffic all day, and just been cut off like 4 times. When I passed this guy the first time he didn’t have his system on, at the light as he rolled up he turned it on. And at first all I thought was what a jerk... and wasn’t going to do anything. It was when Loki started having a the fit, and I looked over at the guy and he was laughing at Loki peeing every where and jumping that I got ticked... and from people who know me personally and from a few posts here that when ive been pushed over the edge... I dont think really think about my actions or my words...
So yes what I did was wrong, but it felt so good... and by the way Ken this is Sara's dog who she loves to death... do you really think SHE would have given two craps if he pissed all over? Nope... I did because Im the one who had to clean it up

Stimpy though your post was funny, I must let you know. 1. Loki is a basenji mix (he’s only 25lbs). 2. He was physically abused before I got him, so much so that his pervious owners put him in the hospital (he was only 4 months old and had 2 broken legs, and 3 broken ribs... and nearly died). 3. Last night Loki spent the night sleeping in the corner curled up and shivering the whole night...this morning we’re was able to calm him a little bit.. But he has yet to eat or drink anything... I’m afraid all the work that Sara and I did getting him trusting again... was just undone.
We called the vet (we aren’t at home in Lansing so I can’t take him to the vet). She said that the emotional damage might be reversible but it’s going to take some work. She said that from what ive told her that it was 99% the loud music and vibrations that did all the damage and 1% my throwing the soda (the arm action of throwing is similar to that of hitting).
She wants to see Loki when we get back... she’s going to come in to her office to see him as soon as we get home... Again I know what I did was wrong, but I also don’t apologize for it either... and I think the jokes should stop...

I was at a pay computer terminal in a hotel lobby (I had not be able to get the laptop working).
What is your point in posting here Ken? Just to be an ******* ? I’m getting really sick of you… Ill just have to post more to piss you off… you aren’t going to succeed in making me leave (I know that’s what your trying to do).
Now that I think about it......didn't I see this same thing on Family Guy??? Where the news reported talks about it, how the guy throws a soda can into the hummer and takes off because he pi$$ed his dog off? lol

Interesting insite into your character
it was wrong because, what? the guy might of had a gun and shot you? so right or wrong is based on whether or not you might get hurt?
in your mind its ok to physically assualt someone who you dont like, who has made you angry? someone you hate?
so by your standards, if someone assults one of your gay friends, because they dont like gay people who drive hummers with the stereo up loud, then there is no reason for the assalant to apoligize?
Its only wrong to physically assult someone if they can hurt you back?

Driving Hummers - Bad. Giving your boyfriend a hummer - Good. It's simple, Ken. It's ok, nay, honorable to suck another man's pee pee, just don't listen to your music too loud.

dezie36. I never intended to make fun of You or your dog! When I read your story, the first thing that came to mind was "I wonder what the guy in the Hummer thought?" Sitting at a light, listening to music, (I don't doubt it was excessively loud) next thing he knows his personal property is being damaged! And it spread from there. What did a witness think? What did the Coke think? Etc. It was not intended to poke fun at you. It was intended to poke fun at the situation.
I think the REAL issue is you MAY have an anger managment problem. And I think that caused you to use poor judgement.
A tell tail sign of an anger problem can be found in your own words: "I know what I did was wrong, but I also don’t apologize for it either."
I'm not cracking on you OR making fun of you.
But you should ask yourself, "Was breaking the law becouse I was angry the smart thing to do?"
What if an old lady throws soda at YOU, becouse she thinks YOUR music is to loud? Even though it's NOT, it's just to her, "loud" and "rock & roll" mean the same thing! The volume of music CAN be subjective. Just ask cliffw.
And I am truely sorry for the abuse your dog has suffered in the past. It breaks my heart. The previous owner needs to be taken out back and given a good whoopin'! But if your dog freaks out or gets excited at loud noises, a car is NOT the place from them. You are opperating potentaly dangerous machinery. Thats no place to be dealing with a dog thats freaking out.
I'm sorry, but I think the blame for how your dog is feeling right now, and incident as a whole, has to fall on you shoulders. I think you made bad choices right down the line.* Take it as a learning thing.
I am not trying to hurt you or call you an A-hole. And I do care. I hope you take it as such.
*The opinions expressed in the above post is not the opinion of the Pennock community or its members. It is soley the opinion of the poster. It is intended for reflection purposes and not as an admonishment. May we all make choices that compliment us.

A wise word from St. Boondawg. Seriously, a better man you might not know. I hope I was the first on the forum to say I care. When in whatever thread it was that I thanked you for being a good sport and that we all take our turns (at humorous correction). Not directed to just you, but, this is a great forum. Thanks all !
