Just an observation....Since some unwelcome persons have been banned as of late, I just noticed my rating number dropped and the needle didnt seem to move. Any corralation there, or just coincidence ? or some people changed rating back to neutral ?

I believe when someone gets banned, all of their ratings are purged from the system. So if the have rated you, I assume that rating will disappear causing your ratings to drop. I assume your bar hasn't moved much due to having over 200+ ratings, it would take a significant change to move your needle.

For whatever reason, I have picked up a few ratings over the last couple days of banning. My needle has not been on the move either. I expected the count to drop a little so picking up ratings was a surprise.
I don't even have a ratings bar yet , but all this rating talk and whats this other forum and people who have been banned ?/ Idon't want to be left out of the loop , anyone got a link?

Ok, I'll spell it out for you.
Your ip-address shows you are posting from Canada, not Iowa, USA.
My log files show that ip-address is used by a few usernames, two of which are "scrotum_pat", the other is "The Punisher".
Your ip-address is a fixed ip-addres.
On Nov 17, my log files show this ip-address sent an email through PFF to "Fiero5", while logged in as "scrotum_pat"
A few minutes later, Fiero5 receives an email, with the following in its header:
Received: from (ip-address removed, but it's the same IP I'm talking about all the time) by xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx.xx.xx (FirstClass Mail Server v7.1) with ESMTP (Sender: jmccreery@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx)
So if you have a better explanation than you actually being JM, please let me hear it.

OK, I'm a little confused.............If scrotum-pat is The Punisher, why isn't scrotum-pat banned ??? I was under the impression that the IP address of Member (or banned Member) was blocked from having access to this Forum. Guess I'm just a little fuzzy how all this works.

scrotum_pat was actually JM. He actually asked me the same question why I hadn't banned this username too, when I knew all along it was him. The reason is simple. If I would ban all usernames at once, I wouldn't be able to catch any other usernames I might have missed. Now I was able to catch two more.

Cliff, you are covering things pretty well. My concern is that if a troll gets banned that they shouldn't be able to simply come back on the forum under another name and start the problems all over.
I hope you are on top of this issue.

Actually since they are bragging how they still have a couple of usernames left to get on here, I already did my part to start them on their way out. I know they will have a field day at the Bizzaro Fiero Forum for me doing this, but hey I don't want them back, no matter what other username they use. If scrotum_pat = Punisher I say it also equals BANNED.
