Sounds a tad extreme.. But I'd be willing to bet that the FBI still wouldn't have been able to serve their warrents on the Taliban..

From a military that couldn't get one acft off the ground? Does your post really make sense? How would a country like Iraq orchestrate that level of an attack, please detail.

Or perhaps for example a president confuses Iraq with Al Queda and leads us to war which has caused the death of almost 1000 US soldiers and most likely 10's of thousands of Iraqi's, then the charge is certainly serious.

History will show us the truth, and George and Dick won't care anymore, because they will be out of the white house.

There is a little thing that the founders created. it's called separation of powers, every president has been given wide latitude in conducting private meetings. Often these meetings are with corporate leaders, and political action committees. When Republican presidents conduct these meetings, they are with American businessmen to make informed decisions on energy policies.
When Democrats hold these meetings, Johnny Chung, and a whole cadre of Communist Chinese leaders are in attendance, soon thereafter they acquire missile targeting components from the administration enabling L.A. to be vaporized.

But hey! no problem with that.....

Oh I get it whenever you can't come up with an intelligent reponse. attack Clinton. Clinton is meaningless now, who cares. Are you saying that millionaire energy tycoons have the interest of the people of this country in their hearts when they write our policy? I think you just overlook these issues, because you are a republican and can't see past partisan politics. You must have been a great player in "follow the leader" when you were a child.

What I am saying, {since you obviously missed it} is that every executive administration has a right to have private meetings with businessmen involved in energy related businesses, healthcare, education, agriculture, etcc.. to help them make decisions on what positions they want to support or endorse. Clinton had that right also, and so did all of his predecessors.
If the legislative branch were allowed to have oversight on all of the exeucutive branch's private meetings, it would violate the separation of powers act. The private businessmen would be less inclined to consult with any administration, whether it be Democrat or Republican.
Tom Daschle and others play on the ignorance of their followers, protests are filed over the private meetings knowing all the while that the objections will never pass the constitutional smell test, but it plays well with organizations like MoveOn and others...yourself included.

Even the liberals on the supreme court support that position….

http://foi.missouri.edu/usenergypolicies/justices.html

quote
Significantly, liberal-leaning Justice John Paul Stevens said he agreed with Olson's argument that the 1972 law did not authorize lawsuits against the president and vice president. It "does not create a cause of action," he said. "And the vice president is not an agency."

Stevens also said he was unimpressed with claims that Cheney had talked with Lay or other corporate executives.

"What does that prove? Does that make [corporate officials] members of the advisory committee? They may have talked to a lot of people, but I don't see what that proves."

Justice Stephen G. Breyer, another of the court's liberals, also said he did not believe the 1972 law authorized lawsuits whenever government officials met with outsiders. "Congress could not possibly have intended to have created that circumstance … putting government in a cocoon when it develops legislative policy," he said.

It's alright, though, since I am not the one who needs "vindication". Thanks for your reply!

There's been as many scandals on one side as the other, don't speak of motes and planks, that's ridiculous.

Clinton didn't do that.... Gore was responsible for the missile technology being supplied to China. True story.

Bush feeds babies to wolves:
Helps keep endangered species alive, promotes late term abortion rights, reduces spending of working class families.

Bush kicks old people into the streets:
Opens housing for lower income families, fills potholes, reduces our dependancy on foreign supplied medicine.

Bush didn't sign the Kyoto agreement:
Ensures there won't be a planet in 5 yrs so we don't need to worry about social security or federal deficit.

Jeesh guys if your mind isn't made up by now on who you're backing.. Do us all a favor and don't vote.

Has the fortitude to go on offense instead of playing defense when dealing with terrorism.

Playing defense on terrorism..wait until they kill Americans, and get approval of the UN before you treat it like a law enforcement issue..... Kerry doctrine

Playing offense.. act like a sovereign nation and kill the enemy on their soil...... Bush doctrine

Who knows. Gore may, After recieving a breifing intitled "Ben Laden determined to launch magor attack in U.S.", done something wierd, like notify the FAA. Rather than flee to Texas for a month in August.

Oh, For you French haters out there, Taking, the month of August, as a vacation, is a French tradition.

He made them APPEAR more intelligent, articulate, and compassionate, by comparison.
He also made Otis the town drunk appear to be a financial genius.

Question: How do you make a small fortune?
Answer: Spend a large fortune for a boat.
Or invest a large fortune in George W Bushes' Oil company or baseball team.
PRESTO: one small fortune.
