What I am saying, {since you obviously missed it} is that every executive administration has a right to have private meetings with businessmen involved in energy related businesses, healthcare, education, agriculture, etcc.. to help them make decisions on what positions they want to support or endorse. Clinton had that right also, and so did all of his predecessors.
If the legislative branch were allowed to have oversight on all of the exeucutive branch's private meetings, it would violate the separation of powers act. The private businessmen would be less inclined to consult with any administration, whether it be Democrat or Republican.
Tom Daschle and others play on the ignorance of their followers, protests are filed over the private meetings knowing all the while that the objections will never pass the constitutional smell test, but it plays well with organizations like MoveOn and others...yourself included.

Even the liberals on the supreme court support that position….
