I have been trying to remember what the name of the movie about Microsoft and bill gates was.

I am sitting back watching a movie about Kevin Mitnick right now and wanted to find the Microsoft movie to add it to my collection of Computer Geek / Hacker Movies.

This movie came out about 5-7 years ago; it was about how bill gates started Microsoft and Windows. Has stuff about the WOZ, Steve Wozniack (sp)

In addition to my request for movie title, can anyone come up with any other really good computer geek movies?

So far I have a few Hacker Documentaries, plus Hackers and Hackers 2. If ya got any other suggestions please speak up

I thought Antitrust was an excellent movie. Speaking of which, I gotta get that back from my buddy.....

That's the only suggestion I can offer, not sure if you'd consider it a computer geek movie or not

TRON?

Matrix?

Lawnmower man?

Johnny Neumonic?

Blade Runner?

Thank You Both. You are totally awesome. If I could I would give ya both another plus, but it looks like I already have.

I fired up www.suprnova.org and found Pirates of Silicon Valley, the title is in spanish so I hope it is just spanish subtitles that I can delete out, and Antitrust was listed in sevearl places. I am going to start checking the DVD racks to buy the Microsoft movie and if I like the Antitrust movie I am going to do the same. I download most of the new movies and watch them, if I like them I do buy them. I have not been able to find Hackers 2 anywhere, AKA Operation Takedown.

I am going to keep my eyes open for any other good movies.

I think that "Pirates of Silicon valley" was made for TV, or so I remember. It starred Anthony Micheal Hall, the nerd from the "Breakfast Club". I've watched it on TNT before, good movie.

The Net. (Gotta love Sandra Bullock. It came out about the same time as Hackers, but was generally regarded to be more "authentic", at the time. YMMV.)

Sneakers. River Phoenix' last movie. More of a spy movie, but had a few hacker tricks if I remember correctly.

Enemy Of The State (I think?) The one that had Will Smith being tracked by spy satellites.

Thank You very much maryjane. I dont buy many movies off of ebay becuase I am in Canada and the shipping alone can end up being more than what I would pay for the movie up here. I will have to check ebay.ca and see what I can find.
