Yes, The Californis Highway Patrol has nothing better to do than to "yellow sticker" my Formula parked on the street for code violations of not being moved in the last 72 hours and threatend to tow it in the future. I'll admit, the rear tire was near flat and the recent rain has left a lot of dirt and leaves around the tires. Either they have nothing better to do or some A-hole neighbor has got a new problem. I tend to think the CHP are pieces of shi* with nothing better to do but am wary of some new neighbors. Now I gotta juggle my cars like a circus clown!!!!!

I think the chp was just doing there job....that is IF a neighbor called and wanted the chp to give you the notice. Now, if the chp DIDN'T get a call and they gave you the notice, then I would agree with you there!

In Columbus, they ' can ' ticket or tow you if you park at the curb, and dont move it for 24 hours !!! I found that out where I used to live. I always parked at curb in front in the same spot and cop thought it had been there for days untill I told him it was my only car and I drove it everyday.
I agree, lots of things they should do to make better use of their time. Funny how their never around when a guy is walking down the street carrying a TV, VCR, and a full sack of who knows what.

when they tag your car for being parked in one spot too long, they usually put a chalk mark on a tire in one spot - they can tell if the car has not been moved - the mark is on the tire tread - it would be gone as soon as you drive the car a few hundred feet.

That's not how I read it. Sounds like he was legally parked, but they figured it was an abandoned vehicle since it hadn't been moved in a while.
Yep, too bad they ticketed it so soon. I say somebody called to get it ticketed that fast. I called on 2 of my neighbors recently who had abandoned cars on our street. I gave them over 2 months and the cars still were there. I got tired of looking at them and called the police. Both cars didn't run and the neighbors had bought new ones.
Cops ticketed them with 24 hour warnings since both cars had expired registration. Next evening the police came back to find the cars still there, so they called tow trucks and the cars were gone that evening.
The low tire and leaf build up may have triggered them to ticket it as well.

The Formula was and is legally parked. I did not receive a ticket. It had a yellow warning sticker stuck to the back window. It is neither the neighbor or cops fault. It is my fault to have let the air in the tire remain low and look suspicious. I originally posted how I felt right after finding out and was a little ticked at the time. Gotta keep it clean and do the car shuffle.
