I thought that this article was pretty interesting {and troubling}.
It's sad to think that some people would sink to the level of doing this, I've heard of bad neighbors but...

Darn that inverse square law! That, and the fact that magnetrons don't emit microwaves like laser beams means that the person holding the so-called "energy weapon" will be taking the brunt of the negative effects.

Now, a coherent beam weapon with real output, in the megawatts, that would be interesting. Not gonna find the parts for that down at the appliance store, though...

You'd be amazed at what you can get, if you know where to look. http://www.amazing1.com
No microwave weapons here, but lots of other interesting gadgets.

Mind control devices? That page doesn't burden itself much with reality nor physics, does it?

I've got a permit to carry a concealed microwave oven, but I don't go out with it much. It's a little bulky, plus I keep tripping on the cord. Makes me feel safer, though.

Interesting link. Thanks.

the author of that article never took physics in HS.

Microwave ovens might put out 1200 WATTS but not 1200 KILOWATTS!!!!

plugged into a 120V outlet, that would require 10,000 Amps of current

outlets are rated for 20 amps max.

Science is our friend!

Good catch Ken.
Probably just a typo.
I listened to an interview with the guy on am radio.
The program was America at night with ernie Brown, the guy was pretty interesting, he had some stories about being hired by the mob and the like.
It was pretty interesting.

1200 KILOWATTS?!

1200 KILOWATTS?!

Im sure in 1985 you can walk into any corner store and buy plutonium

but here in 1955 the only thing that can generate 1200 kilowatts of energy is a bolt of lightning! -Dr Emmet Brown (paraphrased :c)

this part is really funny!

Microwave Carrier ULF-UHF Induction Method. This method utilizes a modulated microwave signal with either an audio, video, or other form of signal or even data may be used. The microwave energy with the VDI (Voice/Data/Image) carrier signal is then directed to the target area or individual. The reaction to this modulated microwave energy from one individual to another will usually be slightly different making it very difficult to diagnose as electronic harassment. The Voice/Data/Image induction form of harassment causes victims to hear voices in their heads or see random images or lights.

i can accept that maybe you can transmit sounds in a way that someone else will hear them inside their head

but VIDEO?! come on - be serious! Video is created by a dot on your monitor screen that scans from side to side, and from top to bottom, with the color of each pixel being modulated

but you eye has thousands of cones and rods that see images simultaniously - you eye does not scan an image like a camera does

there is NO WAY you could transmit video into someones head, and have them see the image you are sending

whatever this guy is selling on that website, he is a hack and has no idea what he's talking about
