My friends Subby Impreza wont start, I dont think its the battery due to everything works fine, just wont start. Im thinking it my be the selinoid or the starter. I know there used to be a way to cross something to bypass stuff and make the starter turn over. Can this still be done? Also she isnt on a big enough hill (I dont think so) to try a push start.

Does it turn over at all? What year is it?

where the big red wire connects to the starter
there is another post, with a screwdriver short the two posts

if it just clicks then the relay is bad

96 Impreza.. No start but EVERYTHING works fine. Lights radio EVERYTHING!!! The seleniod just clicks loud. Doesnt even try to start. We tried using jumper cables but still nothing, just click click click at the selinoid.

Everything could work fine even with a low battery. You need to make sure that the batery is fully charged and not shorted out internally. How old is the battery? If it is the original one I can guarantee that it is no good. Maybe you could try a known good battery to see if that helps.

Im a dolt. All is good. Battery is fine, starter is fine. It was a damn connector at the battery. It is barely being held on. Kinda hard to see these things in the dark. Thanx for the help peoples. But its good to go now.
