How much does the typical 4-5hp Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine need in CFM. I want to try a little experiment to try and get more HP out of it....it involves a computer fan

5 hp is about 11.5 cubic inches They run at about 3600 rpm.
11.5 cubic inches = .0067 cubic feet X 3600 rpm / 2 = 11.97 cfm X efficiency of the intake which is about .7 or so = 8.38 cfm, more or less.
Think about a leaf blower instead. I've actually seen a guy do that and he made 3 psi boost.

yeah but a computer fan is cheap, found one on ebay thats a tri-fan. A single cumputer fan puts about 32cfm so hooked to a 12 volt battery on the mower could boost the power some. The engine is 190CC
open up the intake, exhaust, and run mobil 1 in it should be a strong 1 HP gain
my lawn mower is a 4-3/4? horse Lawn boy i opened up the air filter a little and removed the baffle in the muffler, i was gonna put a type R sticker on it..... (nevermind)
im my snow blower i run Mobil 1 5w-30
