The vid of that incident was on Americas most f*cked up videos or something like that. Actually they said he wasn't hurt that bad. His helmet broke the blades off the turbine and he only had some cuts and bruises. Luckiest man ever.

I saw a training film years ago of a sailor getting sucked into the starboard intake of an a6 Intruder and another in the single intake of I think, an a-7. Both were carrier plane captains. Neither lived.

i heard about a guy that was sucked into a jet engine (and saw the video too) and got his belt snagged on something which prevented him from going through the blades. his helmet came of and destroyed the engine

he lived with only minor injuries.

i also read about a japanese dude who commited suicide by leaping into a jet engine at the airport where he worked.

just a couple plesent stories to think over. have a nice evening.

A turbofan jet at idle, maaaaybe if you don't get into the actual... jet part.

A turbojet, even at idle, forget it. Not a place you want to be.

Go figure. LOL

It was just some advice. You can be Noble like the eagle, but one day, someone is gonna run you through the wringer. LOL Or you can be sneaky and secretive like the Weasel, and chances are, you will get away with it. LOL...
