Forget the speakers!! The skin on his back must be like leather, unless he has some thermal shields built into the seats!!! Neat car though, it isn't every day you see something like this. If he's got the right trans/diff/half shafts, that car will do easy 11's in the quarter.

The midengine Corvairs I've seen before, seems like the V8 engine was placed further aft than this one, and had a fiberglass engine cover (kind of like those used on vans). 'Fit were me, think I'd definitely want the cover, just to keep noise and heat away. Of course, then you couldn't reach back and diddle with the carburetors while you're driving !
Looks like they've got inside- and outside windshield defrosters with this one, too, with the vented hood ! Pretty neat...

It had a Porsche transaxle, with halfshafts, so I guess thats why its pretty far forward. He put a scoop under the front and cut out the front valance to cool the radiator and the heat vents out of the hood louvers. Had a remote electric water pump. It also had no kind of a top, so all weather cruising is out. also notice, its got a current vehicle inspection sticker on windshield.
