I might just be dreaming here but what do you guys think of taking an old volvo 240 and dropping in a SBC or a ford 5.0

looking into the engine bay i think there would be loads of room.

I saw some pic's a while back of one of the 2 door 700's (I think) with a tuned port SBC. I thought it was cool to have a super fast, safe car.

The new issue of Car and Driver describes a twin-engined Volvo sedan that ran the One Lap of America race. From the results, they may have been better off w/ a SBC.

Just went through that site.

Those numbers were not nearly as impressive as i woulda hoped. But I was also thinking a stroked 350, so 383. Anybody have guesses for how fast a built 383 could move the volvo chassis?

Or better yet any ideas for V8 conversions?
