We bought a 2000 Grand Am GT. I love to drive it...Not that I don't like to drive the Fiero, but I love the options with our Grand Am(not to mention the space).

I was thinking maybe my name should just be GTGirl!?

What color is it, GTgirl? It must have the 170 HP 3.4 V6, I've heard those are pretty zippy for a Grand Am. It should have lots of torque and passing power. Nice wheels too.

It is Silvermist Metallic (basically silver). Coconut thinks we should've gotten red.

For an automatic it does have some horses! I am impressed by the power it has and I like it! I prefer standard transmission, but I think this will be a pleasure to drive. I guess when I want to mix those gears I'll drive our Fiero!

I am really impressed with the stereo in this car! Awesome, We won't need to do anything to the stereo.

Sorry about rambling on I am just excited...First time We bought a "new" car.

Thanks for listening....

Me personally, I like the "Personality traits" of my 14 year old car! On top of that, I was hoping that I could have used that money to upgrade the Fiero. Maybe I can steal the 3.4 Ram Air and stick it in the Fiero when she isn't looking!

I guess I have another new Theme Song - I OWE, I OWE, SO OFF TO WORK I GO.......

Coconut (or maybe it should be Sugar Daddy)

Those Grand Am Gt's are sweet. While they're not super fast I really like the way they look. The side profile kind of reminds me of a Mustang(no flames please ) The wing, exhaust tips and front facia look really mean. I think that Pontiac is the only GM division left that has any styling talent. The current Chevy styling sucks!!!

Nice car! Congratulations. Cars have come a LONG way since I started buying them in the '70's. You would have needed to buy a sports car back then for what performance and handling you get now in this car (at least the handling part). This car may not have head-snapping acceleration, but it's certainly no pooch. Faster than the 4-bangers in Accords, Camrys, Galants, 626's etc for about the same money (although those are fine cars, not bashing them).

And thanks GM for making a grown man get on his knees and beg: would you PLEASE start putting 5-speed manuals with your v-6's? GM makes some really nice v-6's that would go GREAT with a 5-speed.
