Actually that car is the latest pokemon: Crazyfunkycar.
It confuses its enemies in battle with its many colors, and then finishes the job with the smoke screen the engine creates when it starts up.

We had an old 4 door Maverick around here a number of years ago that had a whole farm and country side all over the top of it. I haven't seen it in a long time. It was pretty fun.
