Okay. REALLY showing my age, here.
Anybody remember Rat Fink? Big Daddy Roth? All the outrageous cartoons and stuff? Check this link... http://www.mooneyesusa.com/13EDROTH.htm
Or check the "mooneyes" home page... http://www.mooneyesusa.com/
Lots of insanity. Didn't know until yesterday that any Rat Fink stuff was still around. We're talking 35 years ago!

I used to paint t-shirts also years ago at hot rod shows up in Tacoma Washington. When I was a kid of course. I was inspired by Big Daddy. I was just thinking, even tho it's been a while I should try and draw up some hot rod style cartoons for t-shirts of Fieros. Flames coming out the exhaust. Dark interior with eerie looking eyes staring out. Shifter sticking out the t-top. Front wheels off the ground. Ohhyeahh, I think I'm inspired.

Rat Fink & Roth are still big in airbrushing circles. especially the custom auto painters. i have recent airbrush action magazines that are dedicated to him, his art, &/or the style he inspired. he is too cool.

I just saw 'ol Ed today,at the Detroit Autorama,he's got shift knobs now that are a characture(sp?) of himself, and is showing a neat little mid engined car with a Goe,Metro engine in back.Totally cool dude.
I really just needed to go and do my laundry today, but, since the Auto show was in the same direction as the laundromat...

I met "Big Daddy" at the Salt Lake City Autorama two years ago. What a guy! He is still into the rodding scene real heavy. The guy just cracks me up. There's definitely something to be said for a guy with that much personality. Wish he'd share the wealth with a couple of other people I have met. (Boyd Coddington comes to mind here!!!)
