Would you really trust the strength of two LS engines that were cut and welded back together? If the engine produces 400-500 horsepower ; would a cut and welded crankshaft survive? Would a welded block take the power? IMO this engine is a curio that was never intended for regular driving plus you don't need 12 cylinders to make horsepower. This engine is a nice ego project but little more.

Agreed, and if you put in a twelve cylinder in this type of car you might as well have four cams too. From an ls owner and fan.

Kind of reminds me of this V12 Falconer Corvette of the early 90's.

I would have liked to have seen a V6 LS motor. The 4.3 is tired.

I have a book about LS engines. The LS actually evolved from a V6 they were considering (for about a minute and a half) but never produced.

The BMW V12 works just fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UcbhZx465Q

But I would like to see that LSV12 in a Corvette or a nice 4th gen. I wouldn't wanna imagine trying to mate a Porsche Transaxle to that thing. It would be to long.

There's a reason V4's are few and far between... it would be next to impossible to balance out the vibrations from the firing order.

I'm surprised that more inline 3 cylinders haven't shown up as they are like a 60* V6 in that respect...

That V4 is not the Motus V4, it is an LS1 V4 and is assembled with the left over parts from the 2 engines used to make the V12. Since it is 1/2 of a LS1, it is easily 150+ hp and 200hp is easily within reach. Displacement is 2.85L.
