I was ordering from rock auto and noticed they sell floor mats . question has anyone bought them ? know if they are like oem mats? I know the fiero store sell mats but I have seen a lot of posts that say they are not the best. And that some one on here sells mats but I have a discount code and ready to place order anyway so just curious.
edit to add they are made by ACC

I don't know the quality or pile of their mats, would be curious to know. They have 2 different kinds, one is $40 cheaper than the Fiero Store, and one is almost the same exact price.
The only logo that Rock Auto seems to offer is the FIERO lettering, and not the Pegasus logo, and the 'e' in the logo looks FUNKY!
I think you are better off going HERE for more selection, way more color choices, styles, quality ect ect. TONS of choices......
So, for $112.00 you can get mats at JCWhitney with a choice of 12 carpet color choices (Rock auto offers 4) 24 thread choices for the logos, and even a matching border to the thread color, or different color to accent the mats.

I made these for myself and also a pair for Robertzep2. They are holding up well. I am thinking about offering them to the forum. They are made of shop mat material. I've used mine all winter and they have been nice for keeping mud and rain off my original mats and carpet. They would do well for covering stained carpet also. I currently have just the one color of light gray available but I believe I can also get red. If either of these two colors don't match your car you can stow them behind the seats until those rainy days. It might also be possible to paint them. I probably would not be interested in painting them for you.

JCWhitney is just a reseller for Lloyd's Floor mats. Lloyds is the manufacturer, and does not sell directly to anyone period. If you do not trust JCWhitney, you can get the same exact Lloyds mats at TONS of other places as well.

Sorry Boostdreamer I did'nt mean to leave you hanging. They look nice and even a good color, but the only real reason that it needs mats is not so much for protecting the carpet ( wich they do some ) and yours look like they would do, is for looks . This car does not get out to much any more and I try not to drive it in any bad weather unless it can't be helped. The main reason I fuss over quality is I like to get what I pay for ( in english wife would kill me if I pay a lot of $ for something that looks cheap.) I think you should add a logo and sell them in the mall thanks for the offer.

Hey no worries, Man! I was just using your thread as a test bed for my mats. I think I've got an answer. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any interest in them. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make my millions some other way.

Was not trying to "sell you on them".... just offering some info. I went and grabbed one and took a few pictures. Hopefully this will help in making a decision:
I don't have a discount code, but try different resellers at the ink above. Each reseller is able to set their own prices, and there is bound to be one of them cheaper on the mats, the shipping or both.

Hopefully this will help in making a decision: I know , thanks for the advice I ordered a set from JC whitney . I found a promo code and got 10% off and free shipping. I do like the logo better than just letters. I got a darker gray with red stitching for contrast. I looked at sears and some others that carry that brand and jc was the cheapest. will post picks when they arrive

Yea, definitely post pictures, as I would love to see the dark gray with the red.... I bet they are going to look amazing!
I just wish at the time I ordered mine, a few years ago, that they offered the different material and color for the edges of the mats. I think it would have really made them pop in my car with the Electric Blue, not only in the logo thread, but as the border around the entire mat.

definitely will will try in this post and in my build thread 87 base cleanup. I like the color you got , but I thought red would realy pop. Plus I got used to red when I was on the local volunteer fire dept. My red firebird used to look good running the blue light Just hope I am still alive after my wife finds out I spent the money. She considers it hers ( something about me not working for the last 2 years because of medical reasons).

I have been watching your thread, You are making definite headway.
I went with the blue to match everything else. The car color, stitching in the ebrake cover, shifter cover door panels, Mr. Mikes's seats ect ect....
This was the 3rd attempt at the color The first time, they came in Navy Blue, and I had to return them, as they said it was their mistake. We emailed back and forth, and told me she found the color number for the thread, and sent it off to the Manufacturer (Lloyds). When I got them the second time, they were a BRIGHT Lemon/Lime green! I immediately called, and she said that was what was ordered. She went back through her emails, and found one from the manufacturer with a color code they were making them in to match the electric blue thread that I had picked. When she cross referenced the color she received in email, it was the lime green. I was told this time to just keep the mats, and new ones would be on the way. I received them in a week done correctly.
(I sold the lemon lime mats in the mall for like $60 if I recall hahaha)

Is that the matt material Lloyds calls "Ultimat"? Which gray is that and how does it compare to the fiero carpet color? Thanks
At the time, I ordered them from AutoSport. It's been a long time, but they still had my order history on file.
This is what I ordered: (I didn't realize how much cheaper they are at JCWhitney....)
1) 7831 Embrd Marque 2pc Front Mats, All Trim Levels, for a 1986 Pontiac Fiero, Mat Color: Light Gray, Logo Thread Color: Medium Blue, Logo: Fiero Logo $119.95 FL Tax: $0.00 Shipping - ground: $17.95 TOTAL: $137.90

I did'nt know how close color matching would be and would rather it look different on purpose than it look like a close is good enough . So I went with the clasic loop for price , color smoke ( a dark gray ) the pegasus logo in red tread. Cost $ 71 from JC Whitney with free shipping I went with red because of earlier mentioned reason and I bought red pegasus patches from the fiero store that I intend to put on the back of my seats. I always liked the patch they have on the gt seats, and thought this would be an easy way to dress up my seats. Putting them on will be my wifes job (when she finds out ) just hope they look good.

I asked my wife , and she says she can atach them with something she called wonderunder . Its somekind of fuseable fabric you place it under the patch then heat it with an iron. then she would use a curved needle and add some basting stitches hidden around the outside to make sure it does not come loose. sorry I can't explain better but its something if she knows then I don't worry about it . edit to add they are kinda small for the matts.
