I was at Autozone today and was told by staff there was a change in store policy. You now have 90 days to spend your Autozone Rewards Cash or lose it all (when you reach enough points,if your under, you should be fine, untill you reach the spendable amount) .Im in California and might be diffrent in your state.Contact your local Autozone for more information.
I don't know why I even bother with their "rewards" program. It's ridiculous to begin with. I don't spend enough there for it to be of any use, because they'll only scan it when you spend over $20, and 90% of the time, I'm just picking up new air freshners or other small things. Then, when I finally do end up spending so much, I always forget to use the thing, because they never ask if you have it, and I use it so rarely, I just forget.
I wish it was more like the rewards at Best Buy or Sears, and they trained their employees to ask if you have it, when checking out.

There's a very simple solution, don't shop at Autozone. If it's windshield washer fluid, blades or oil (something that's REALLY hard to mess up, I may go there. Otherwise, It's either NAPA or O'Reilly.

Story goes some mechanic bought a long block off pure rewards points so they had to find a better way to save money. I worked for AZ and the rewards system was a joke. 1 point for a 100$ sensor that is chinese junk anyway

Yeah, the problem isn't that I don't have the card on me. It's on my keyring. It's that they never ask for it, and I rarely spend enough for it to count, so I always forget about it. And of course, the "rewards" system is a complete joke anyway, as already mentioned.

I almost always look up the parts on-line first, and cross-check prices/manufacturers across all the local shops, and generally only buy things local for consumables (like oil, washer fluid, etc…), or if it's something I need right now (like the ignition switch for a friend's Prelude I had to get the other day). Otherwise, it's usually cheaper and easier for me to just buy parts on-line, and have it dropped at my door in 2 days.

I personally use it every time I purchase something over $20 in Autozone. It is something that *I* take the time to remember, as I do not expect others to baby me and try to save me cash If a purchase comes to like $19 or something, I just add a candy bar or soda at the register. I currently have $120.00 in rewards, so I am going to look into this immediately!

Same here. But I use the $20 every time I get them. Not too often lately as all my projects are done.
