Anyone remember IFG? They used to make & sell Kit cars based on the Fiero chassis.

It was owned & ran by Ray Hoogenraad. Thay built Lambo kit & T.R. kits for many years. Ray had a huge Fiberglass shop in Chino, CA & made Fiberglass parts for everything from Mickey Mouse heads for the lids of trash cans in amusement parks, to Fiero based rebodies.

Well, I just saw Ray on The Speed Channel on a show called TransLogic.

The item that was on the TransLogic show was the Bremach T-Rex Check it out http://www.bremachusa.com/index.html

This is not posted as a product endorsement. It's just an update to some of our Fiero history.

Whats sad is that Ray ripped so many people off and made VERY shotty parts. I am amazed that he is still in the business. I live in Northern California so I am very familiar with his past products for the Fiero. Hopefully this time he has better employees and better backing from the bank

Looks like he still has one of his old kit cars:

I remember the company well. For a while they were a sizable supplier of Lambo Diablo kits but they also made a unique $3,800 twin turbo kit for the 2.8L Fiero. I worked on one of those back in the mid 90's. The plumbing was well engineered but overall the kit was a disaster. The guy who developed the ECM chip for that system (Ron Zimmer/Z Industries) had the program all wrong. The control system (chip) included with that kit didn't/couldn't adjust the timing with boost. All it did was to flood the engine with fuel. This led to a history of blown engines. Some wild horsepower claims were made for the IFG twin turbo system but in the end it proved to be a failure. Now it looks like Ray is going after the Hummer market. Who knows where that will go.
