I have changed the hood angle, the sail area, and the top of the door to create a pretty cool look. Lots of work to be done, but it's taking shape I think. The black spots behind the rear wheels are for the external speakers for the soundracer v12. I think we are gonna end up going with a StormTrooper look (Star Wars).
My initial reaction is that it looks really bad, sorry.
The lines of your add-ons are at weird angles that just do not work well with the rest of the body lines. It looks all zig-zaggy and wonky in a bad way. Also, covering up half of your side windows sounds like a serious liability in the event of a wreck.

Seeing out of the car is not a problem. There is no interference with the driver's view. also... I learned long ago that different people have different opinions. What looks "wonky" to you, looks really cool to me and others who have provided their input to me. Thanks for your input for sure. I'll take it for what it's worth.
If you like it, then that's all that matters. If you're any good at photoshop you ought to give it a go for a pic of what you're going for. I assume you're going with a grey metallic color with darker lines and rivets airbrushed on to make it look like its assembled from metal plates.

This was my thought, but then when I read the mention of the 'storm trooper look', I took another look over the mods. I'm excited to see the finished product!

Definitely a different approach! Tony said it best.
I too would like to see it finished, and a photoshop of your idea would greatly help. I applaud you for experimenting with this. I wouldnt have the nerve to attempt that with my car. Best of luck with the project. Post us up some pics as you progress.

Others have done this, but have only done an inch or so, I think this is too much. But like others have said if you like it then who cares what we think.

not my cup of tea, but I wouldn't put the speakers pointing out, in the back, point them down (hidden in the wheel well), so they can't be seen easily...

What size speakers are you using for the external speakers? A 10" sub on each side would thump pretty good and if you want them to have any good deep sound you should have the box open to the trunk or boot and port it the same way so that you could be louder than the sound of the motor a little more. I like the storm trooper idea I think you need a spoiler in the front to help give the same kind of angle that you have with that wing on the back. I will photo shop something to show you what I mean. it’s a one of a kind. I have the sound racer V8 have you listened to the different ones? I liked it better than the V12 but to each their own good luck finishing it up.

They are 6x9s - They are covered by nylon stocking mesh and then that is houses behind a metal screen in order to protect them. I want the subwoofer that you see in the video to be housed in the bottom of the trunk facing the back of the car... At least that's what I'm thinking now. I have been thinking of a spoilder on the front... you talking about the Countach front bumper type spoiler? I have listened to the V8... it's a little too muscle-car-ish for my particular taste... I want something that screams like an Indy car - Formula One... The V10 is as close as I can get... I mistakenly got the V12 thinking it would scream at the highest level... Looking forward to seeing the photoshop... Thanks definitely... I've toying with the bottom of the nose of the car to change those angles... haven't really come to a conclusion yet, but I want it to be different for sure.

Way, way back when, I had a chopped and channeled 32 3 window coupe. Some of the customizers used to section the body too. I'm sure that it would be way harder to do on the Fiero. I would like to see a Fiero photo shopped (is that the right term) though.

Very interesting idea. I just like hanging my elbow out the window comfortably. I appreciate the hard work, am many things are cooler than stock.
Greg
You get your elbow out the window? I finally got a car that I could do that in again ( a 99 GMC camper van). The windows are too high in all the modern cars.

IMHO the pitch and angle is too high. Granted, I'm offereing constructive comments here, but you might be able to increase the angle more than the blue car I posted for it too has been done. At best maybe 5-6" near the backside of the door, but from your pictures I think it's way too much.

Thanks for the comments. That blue car does look good for sure. My car looks better in person that it does in photos... hmmm... just like I look better and younger in the mirror than I do in photos... hahaha... But it's a work in progress... I'm sure there'll be many more changes... I'll definitely explore lowering the amount of the rise on the door skins.

Thanks. I love what you did with the vents behind the rear wheel and the added vents in front of the front wheel. That looks really good. As far as the front spoiler is concerned... I'm not visualizing what you mean based on the photo... I know photoshopping in 3d is difficult. I'm just not quite getting what you're suggesting... BTW - I have plans to lower it after I get bigger/wider wheels and lower profile tires. Nice work there. Thanks. Maybe I'll try to do a little photoshopping real quick too.

Maybe from this angle too you get what I mean? Not that you have to like it just what I was thinking when I thought storm trooper and had to add my favorite head lights again I think that would look bad ass on it! I like the side vent you photo shopped too! What wheels were you thinking I could put them on for you?

I like 5 spoke style with rivets all over the place... Now I understand the wing... I will definitely play with that some... I'm thinking 18s on the wheels with a lower profile, but definitely not too low... I want it to fill the wheel well space as much as possible. Thanks!

Are you going to buy a car stereo for the back so you can fit that sub back there?
I was going to get a second car stereo, but then I was talking to somebody who said I didn't need one... and with his advice, I didn't. The soundracer just sends the audio directly into the amp with a 3.5mm to rca cable... I had to hook up the boom box back there so I could have volume control... other than that, the boom box isn't necessary (if you have the aux out mod on the soundracer)... I had purchased an inline headphone audio control for 3.5mm aux cables, but it didn't do anything, so I decided to test it with the boombox...and it worked... so I guess I'll keep it that way for a little while until I get the body done.
The sub woofer is already back there and it's hooked up and functional... It's plugged into a 3/4 channel Alpine V12 amp... but it MUST be in an enclosure or it basically just vibrates a little... I tried clicking on your facebook link and it says the content is currently unavailable... I'll be posting some vids when I get the v10 gallardo and v10j lexus soundracers... stay tuned on that. I'm really excited about it.
I'm wondering how to hook up additional 6x9s... Does anybody know how to hook up multiple sets of speakers to an amp?
