Hi Everyone.

I have a question. I have just bought a 88 gt t-top. One thing a previous owner had done is added an aftermarket dash component which actually created a glove box where a glove box is supposed to be. It looks great, it is made for the fiero and fits without flaw. I personally am not a huge fan of it. I believe the pocket thing fieros originally come with are much better looking.

I also have another 88 gt fiero t-top (green) which has the original dash in it. the style of it is the grey vinyl with the fiero logo at the bottom right had corner of it. The logo looks like it is just printed on. Nothing special about it. A while back I had bought another dash for that fiero (because the corners are beat up) which has a different piece in that spot. The 'glove compartment' spot is actually a cloth backing with a fiero logo sewn onto it. I believe this dash insert looks much better than the one on my green 88.

I also have a 87 gt fiero. This is my parts car. I noticed on the dash in this one it is the cloth backing version just like the spare dash I have. I do really like this style much more than the one in my green 88.

Does anyone know if the 87 fieros had the cloth insert and the 88's had the vinyl insert? Or was this just an option you could choose at point of purchase? Regardless my new car I bought not totally stock so it isn't essential to me that I keep it all original, but I am curious.

I would add images of them but haven't quite figured that out yet on here. Any information is helpful. Thanks everyone

The 86-87s had the cloth dash insert and door pockets while the 88s got the vinyl dash insert along with door map pockets. The 85s had the vinyl insert and door pockets as well, but in light grey and lighter tan. And I think the 84s had only the strap for the dash insert.

Base model 84s got the strap, SEs got a vinyl pocket. The door map pockets were vinyl also in 84. 85 pockets were the same as 84...base model getting just a strap (I believe, I could be proven wrong on the strap).
