Always wondered why no one had come up with a design similar to the Ferrari 348 for a door design like they have theirs. The 348 I think closely represents the Notchback and would look awesome and eliminate the door side scoops like we have. Just a thought and idea. Maybe it's way way too involved to make them affordable, etc, but I think the outer door skin could be done. Anyone ever done such a thing? Figured since we have done so much on front and rear bumpers in the Ferrari style, why not this?

Any input?

The strakes are about 5 1/4" into the door.

You would have to modify the inner door-frame to make it functional. Or, you would have to make a widebody....

I think it looks more like a Fastback than a Notchie...

Fair enough and yeah I see your point. I guess with my paint code, etc...I just think it would like slick on my car. It doesn't necessarily have to be that deep but something looks like good. That one below looks terrible lol. I guess there would be a lot of work involved in something, just always has been a thing on the Ferrari's that caught my eye...especially on the 348 and the Testarossa. It might be harder than I think, but just was throwing it out there.

I agree the Fastback does look closer, but I think mine maybe widebody without the wing, would be closer. I just like to dream

I would consider buying the door skins alone if they were available

I don't know your age, but back in the day the door fin designs were copied on just about every car in the late 80s. I've seen them on Mercedes, trucks, Fords, Fiero's, and replicas. All were nothing but poor designs from the original cars they were trying to copy and if they were copied again-the outcome would is still the same. IMHO it would be better to copy the 1990 concept Fiero door/vent design. At least with that design it won't be associated with different car maker.

Yeah I wish they had a cool design for the doors, but probably not going to happen. And I will be 31 this year I know old right!
