Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear BBC called the Fiero the poor man's MR2 last night. I was waiting for an opinion from him on Fiero's... It was in the interview part with the Black Eyed Pea's guy.

I saw it and it was no big deal. I figured that some here would piss and moan but for gods sake it was an interview of some guy from the Black Eyed Peas and Jeremy Clarkson who makes fun of everyone.

It was not like he treated it like a flipped Robin Reliant or a Austin Mariner and a piano dropped on it. .

I was just thrilled that the Fiero was even soken of in England since it really was never sold there. We may be gone but not forgotton.

If anyone wants to declare war let it go. This is Top Gear and they mock themselves as much as anyone or many things. It is called entertainment.

I agree with you. Nobody is declaring war and it is no big deal to me. I love the hosts and how they mock everything and everyone. It was exactly the comment I expected from Jeremy.

I watch Top Gear quite a bit too. You have to keep in mind that it is mainly entertainment, and not always completely factual or scientific.......

Not to mention they talk S about EVERY American car…..except the GT40 and that’s because Clarkson owns one.

May be a bit off topic but I’ve come around on the American version on History Channel. Started off not caring for it because I was such a fan of the BBC version, but now I enjoy it and they usually drive American cars too.

I saw that last night too. Thought it was cool that someone mentioned it on Top Gear, and I have no problem with Clarkson making fun of it!

The only thing I found offensive was when my wife pointed at me and laughed while Clarkson was picking on it a little.

The GT40 is crap now to Clarkson. I think he sold it after many issues with it. He does say many great things about the ZR1 now even though he refers to it as the plastic car built by fat me in KY.

The American one to me is ok but like any other copies of something that is just right it is hard to top.

I was not so much speaking to you but to some that do tend to over react. Also there are still many who do not have BBC understand how the boys work. I remember the first time I watch and I though what jerks but then I found they are as much entertainment as cars. It is one of the few car shows I can watch. I love cars but most car show suck.

I really think what makes Top Gear is Jeremy Clarkson himself. He is a terrific and hilarous writer. I used to read his articles in the London Times (both car reviews, and other topics). His series a few years ago promoting himself for prime minister were hilarious and very well written. So I suspect his creativity is behind a lot. Thats not to take away from Hammond or May either. With respect to the hosts of the US version, they don't have the talent of the UK guys. (Especially Clarkson). The US version also doesn't have near the budget either.

Clarkson dumpd the GT40 years ago and bought a Lamborghini. The Ford kept breaking down on him. He mentioned it in several episodes.

who? and which show? Oh wait.... I don't care as it is just pure entertainment.... It would be better if they actually had to pay for the vehicles they drive, then maybe they would have a different attitude.

Ya know I have watched about every damn episode of that show. It is really freakin' brilliant. Clarkson is hilarious and very opinionated. The rest are funny as hell. My wife thinks the little guy is cute and we watch the show together a lot. Clarkson never really has anything good to say about American cars that is part of his act I think. I am quite sure he probably really thinks that but it is just a funny show nevertheless. I watched the new American top gear last night I think it was and it was actually pretty good. They were comparing the ugliest cars sold in america. They used the yugo, the mustang II and the pontiac AZtek. It was pretty funny and they actually made that jugo look pretty cool. Most of the ATG shows I have seen were pretty decent. I agree you will never replace the charachters on brittish top gear but you really do not have to. I seriously doubt you would ever get Clarkson to say anything nice about the fiero let alone any american car but that's okay what he did say was actually kinda funny. I like the part where he said you needed to park it a mile away and kinda squint to make it look like a Ferrari.... that is actually pretty hilarious... I also had no idea Will-I-am did all of that stuff... I thought he was just a singer. It seems like there have been a lot of fiero's in the news lately. Kinda cool. Peace

Pete

Clarkson is the brains of this deal. It is baby and he knows how to entertain. He has found a way to make cars interesting to even people who are not car fans. Even my 75 year old mother watches them and loves the show.

All there boys are like the 3 stooges and not one of them are as good alone as they are together.

They have been often copied but they have not and will not be duplicated. The fact they are on BBC with no advertising in the UK makes it to the point they can say or do anything to the cars with out having to be PC. This is why Clarkson can be so non PC as there is no one to take him to task for losing advertising. He says what many people wish they could say in this way damn too PC world.

The only threat they get is from people pushing the goverment to crack down on them. Many green and liberal groups are mad as Clarkson can speak freely against them and they have not been able to do much against him. They have tried to start things about him that are not true with many different lies. He is a threat to them and they hate it. They have tried to get the Goverment owned BBC tio crack down on them. All they do is issue some strong words and then let the boys go. The ratings are so high they can not afford to do anything to them. The UK Top Gear is one of the highest rated shows in the world.
