Read through a few threads for putting a LS4 5.3 with an 4t65e-HD automatic into a pre 88 Fiero.

Does anybody make the motor and transmission mounts? and have them for sale?
edit WCF has the trans mounts
Just to save engineering it myself

I see the water pump and alternator mounts are all done differently
which way is best? like fieroguru setup its the simplest but.....

Anybody make a harness conversion?

axle recommendation? specifically which years and models to put together. note too many details on this for the automatic other than all gm nothing custom

Phonedawgz make harnesses here on the forum. I talked to him about the "LS" harnesses and he can do those as well. Give him a buzz. Here is his harness thread.

Also Fieroflyer makes harnesses. He has made me to great harnesses in the past as well.

WCF probably has all the parts for the LS4/4T65 swap by now. Their cantilevered alternator setup is the only bolt-on accessory option that avoids reworking the PS frame rail while keeping the stock LS4 water pump (my setup does this as well, but it takes a lot of fabrication work to the LS4 water pump and is not commerically available).

Eventually someone will come to market with a small/simple mechanical water pump solution for the LS(x) swaps.

I doubt this will happen. Archie's kit has an electric pump which works well enough and has easily replaceable components. There are plenty of water pumps available for the RWD LSx swaps into S-10s, Miatas, and whatever else, and most FWD LSx swaps can probably use a Vette pump as well. Unfortunately, the Fiero LSx swap market is small enough, and for the majority taken care of by Archie's kit, so I don't see anyone making such a pump really. The cost for design and manufacture of such a pump is just too high for the very few that might get sold. :-/

I do not believe so. Archie sticks mostly with the manual transmission conversions and his kit isn't compatible with the LS4 w/o some major rework.

Not AFAIK. But most of the parts in his kits are usable with an LS4. I think most of his swaps these days are the LS376 crate motor. They're both LSx engines, and the water pump issue really applies across the board.

The LS4 is only interesting if you want a V8 with an automatic in your Fiero, or you're crazy (like fieroguru and I are).

Shhh, don't put "Archie" and "LS376" in the same sentence. :-)
