I've looked in the archives and all I can find is threads about individual toys or a specific group of toys, ie: models. I wanted to make a complete thread where people can find out info about anything Fiero toy related, whether it be models, or matchbox or even R/C. If it's a toy and it's Fiero related, look for it here.
Anyone is welcomed to help out and do a write up in this thread. I'm sure there are many obscure Fiero toys out there. I would like to cover as many as possible, if not all of them.
As far as your write up goes, please try to be as specific as possible and put in as much info about the toy as possible. For example: manufacturer, dates of manufacture, differing models, part numbers, re-releases, inaccuracies, etc etc. The only thing I would ask you not to do, is make a post about a toy if you don't have pictures. Everyone likes pictures and it doesn't really help anyone further their collection if you say "oh I have a matchbox car that hasn't been listed yet, it's purple." So, pictures please, and do your best to use PIP for long term image posterity. If you can't use PIP there are many here who will be more than happy to assist you.
I'll start with a Christmas present I bought myself this year.
This is a Traxxas Fiero GTP 1/12th scale electric R/C model kit. Mine is model number 1401, the "pro level" racer. It comes totally un-assembled and with no controller or servos or battery and the body it comes with is clear plastic, ready to be painted. There is also a model #1402 that was a "Ready to Run" model. It came fully assembled and included a Traxxas "twin stick" radio controller and a fully painted and decaled body. The Fiero GTP was the first car the Traxxas corporation, based at the time in Dallas TX, ever made. It was made for the '86, '87 and '88 years. It was based off the successful Spice/Fiero LeMans racer of the time. It retailed at the time for approximately $300. Here are some pics that the seller sent to me before I bought it. (thanks FieroMeister, great guy to deal with)
I have many other Fiero toys and will continue to update this thread. Please feel free to add yours too! Anything from micro machines to go-carts, if it's a Fiero toy, let's see it!
Thanks, ~Tyler

For today we have the Ertl Blueprint Replicas '88 Fiero GT. This was manufactured in 1988 by the Ertl company of Dyersville, Iowa. It is a 1/43 scale die cast car and is one of the very few fastback die casts there is. For being a "Blueprint Replica" there is an amazing amount of inaccuracies with this toy. It says it's an '88 yet clearly has an '87 paint scheme, the sail panels are cut out and the description on the back speaks for itself:
"Taking a spin in a hot '88 Fiero GT tells you this car is styled for performance. the famous Tech IV engine has a new secondary force balancer system to smooth and quiet engine operations, and the new suspension is designed from the frame up to enhance ride and handling. Combine those with a high winding 2.8 liter V-6 and 135 horsepower, flying never felt so easy! And the sleek aerodynamic Fiero offers visual appeal with its new monochrome paint scheme and diamond spoke wheels."
It would be easier to list the things they got right...
I hope everyone is enjoying this thread. Please feel free to comment and add your own toys. I have a lot of them but I know I don't have them all... yet
I love that Ertl GT, I've been after one for 11 years but every time I find one they slip thru my hands at the last second are they are too expensive .
I can't wait to see your other toy's. I might show some of mine if I see you don't have them.
There's the New Bright remote controlled Fieros - they're a big 1/14 scale thing, detailed interior. Comes in black bumperpad, red bumperpad and an IMSA. I've got the black one but it's so terrible that I'm not keen to photograph it, and it's gonna get resprayed in white to match my old '84.

My contribution for the day is the MPC model #6227 1/25 scale Fiero GT model kit. It was made by the Ertl company in 1988. this kit is designed such that it can be built 2 different ways. Thanks again to FieroMeister for the pics. I used these to show the inside as mine is still wrapped in plastic.
Please enjoy and participate, thanks! ~Tyler

Yup I've got the red one I got it when I was very young, I love it The horn even sounds like a real fiero horn.
What, broken sounding? Mine actually does sound just like my real car - the tone changes constantly because of the failing horns Was thinking of stripping it and converting it to radio control, but I can't find a decent transmitter that allows enough channels to work the horn and lights as well as the main driving controls... will start looking in earnest after I've painted it.
Wasn't there a Fiero Transformer or two?

My contribution for the day is the 1/24th scale 1985 GT model made by Monogram. As far as I know this is the only Fiero model made by Monogram. Please correct me if this is wrong. This can be built as the '85 GT obviously but it is also the best starting point to build an Indy model. Just get a duke engine from another kit and you can sometimes find Indy decal sets on Ebay. I got an Indy decal sheet off Ebay for a dollar! Pic credits to FieroMeister again as mine has not came in the mail yet.
Thanks for watching, ~Tyler

The blue Tonka was part of a car hauler set .. the tonka car hauler came with 3 or 4 Fiero cars to haul around. I haven't seen a complete set with the hauler in a while but I know theres a set of Tonka Fiero's on ebay right now.

When I started collecting Fiero Toys I too thought I'll get them all........I mean how many could there be??? way more than you would think. I think Ray Paulk Fiero toy box said 600 to 700.
I have everything listed so far...... plus over 100 other toys
First off we have
The toy was made by Erty in 1986. It is almost 1/18 scale
I even have the owners manual
here's a pic with a custom 1/18 with my Lambo door kit on it for a size comparison.
The M.A.R.C. 32 was a car with 32 computer controlled moves

I started collecting Fiero toys back in 1996. I've now got 500+ unique Fiero toys in my collection and 100's for sale. If you want any info about any Fiero toy, just ask. I have documented several lines of Fiero toys (Matchbox (11), Hot Wheels (29 +4 from India), Majorette (25 + 6 Code 2's), Welly (22 + 3 w/pull-back engines), Plastic Kits and more). Every hear of Rhino Toys... those Fieros are sooo fugly! I have 13 of those!
I'd post some photos if I knew how to do that. Do I need to use HTML?

I ran across this radio controlled SE, a while back. Looks to be about 1:18 scale. Just under a foot long.
Unfortunately, it didn't come with a controller. Anybody have one, or even know what frequency it was supposed to be on? I've looked all over the car, and can't find anything useful.

Raydar --- if you can open up the car you should be able to see the crystal and on it is the frequency ..... its worth a look. Also any good electronic hobbiest should be able to help you out. Danyel
Most of them were 27mhz back in the day. He's right... open up for the electronics and the crystal will say the freq or a part number. With the part number i can find out what it is.

I've already looked for a frequency. (I'm a commercial / industrial radio and telecomm tech by trade.) Didn't see anything useful. I'll give it another try. Didn't even think about cross-refrencing by part #. (I never said that I wasn't "rusty".)
click on image for better view How about a Yo-yo from 1986? Given out at the 3rd annual Fiero Family Picnic put on by the Fiero plant for employees. They also came in Red.

I have a few of most of the things posted already. Glad to see there are still some out there. I didn't see any Fiero Micro Machines. I have a handful of them. I'll post pics when I get home if I don't get beat to it. Some of the pull-back cars I have are some "turbo boost" edition. They have a 2 stage gear/spring timer. They take off slow and after about a foot they go into "turbo boost" and take off fast.
