Trashed stock interior, so so install on an sbc and poor fit up on the kit. Waaayyyy overpriced!!! $20.00 says it gets no bids, the seller has burnt his lips on the crack pipe.

Merit to this post? I don't see the interior as trashed. Short of the seat bolster because worn out on the drivers side, and a poor recovering of the door panels, the interior looks to be in pretty decent shape. Nor do I see what your seeing in regards to the kit. What 'fit up' are you refering to, because the only lines I can sorta make out are the doors, and they would be hard to tell from a picture on some of these angles.
I don't dis-agree on the price being a little high, but theres still alot of money into that car.

i think it is over priced too but only in the context that the car is not done the way i would do it .the small block would have to go , who knows what the suspension and brakes are etc . if i could find just this body unassembled and stored indoors since it was purchased , i would gladly pay 6000.00 for the body alone .but i dont need or want what this body is attached to .some one will like it and buy it , but not me .

This is the second time this car has been listed that I know of. I believe the first time had a secret reserve that was bid toward but never met. I was corresponding with Jack Kube just a few months before he passed away. I was interested in this exact kit which he was still willing to produce. It was approximately $7000 new.
I have since e-mailed Ms. Kube and she tells me that she is negotiating the sale of these molds to someone who intends to continue production. She has assured me that she will let me know when that is finalized and what the new contact information will be. If I get it, I'll pass it along here.
As for the quality of the car in the auction. I can't see any fitment problems with the body kit. The paint looks decent too. I also think the interior looks bad. I would have rather seen a completly stock Fiero interior than what has been done here. The inattention to the interior and the engine compartment makes me worry about the mechanical soundness of the car.
I would love to have this car for the body but nothing else. I obviously wouldn't pay that price for a body kit even if it was prepped, painted, and fit tested.

that is great news that they might resume production .they used to have the 2 body styles as well MK1 and the MK2 holman moody style body .i almost ordered a body 10 years ago but i had to put my 2 oldest kids through school and i could not fit it in the budget .but now i have a much better job and will buy this body if it is made available .i only want the MK1 though .i would buy a MK2 if i could pick up an old kit cheap .there is a thread on here somewhere of a MK1 that was done up beautifully ,dont recall the members name though .

Go back and take a closer look at the poorly done door panels, love the custom coordiated interior colors, grey dash, black carpet, tan seats w/ the drivers side seat damage and the wonderful tan and black door panels, maybe trashed was a "little" harsh but I don't think it was far from the mark, The body kit looks like it was tossed on the car with no effort to make all the panel gaps "tight and right", then there's the so so detailing in the engine bay.
Overall the car lacks any effort to make a nice car, it was just tossed together and driven, if your going to go through the work to build a kit, why fall down on the detailing, that is what could have set the car apart.
Your reaction to my post has me wondering what your connection to the car is??? The op asked what we thought of the car, and I stand by my assesment of it, it's grossly overpriced.

Honestly I hadn't noticed the grey dash, I thought (and it is hard to tell) that all that was black.
But no, I don't have any connection to the car.

That was one of the first kits that I considered and I actually went to look at it when it first came out. Since then I've seen a few of the much more expensive tube framed, longitudinal engined replicas, and there is no comparison. They go for $80,000 and up though.
