so im an idiot....just start with that. In my haste to repace my alternator i forgot the disconnect the battery. so when i started the unbolt the wire i dropped the wrench and it arked from the exhaust manifold. i heard a nice sizzle sound and the battery began smoking and the relay pack as well that is right near it bolted to the passenger side of the engine bay. Now the battery wont charge, so what are they and where can i find them?

On the passenger side? Next to the battery on an 85+ car? Sounds like the battery distribution block? Only relays I can think of are on the driver's side on the firewall for the fuel pump and AC compressor.

This? (ignore the non-stock battery, and opposite polarity cables)

That would be the C500 connector, no relays in there. Check the fusible links. If you actually burned up the C500 you might need a new harness. Pics?

Nope, no fuses, but there are fusible links in that area. Look for large red burnt wires.
