Has anyone done this (wait that's a stupid question), how do I do this? Is there a thread with pictures of someone replacing the bushing, and what tools will I need?

Ha yaaay finally a thread of mine thats useful!

There aren't any special tools needed really. Snap ring pliers would be a plus, but I got by with a set of different screwdrivers and hobby mini needle nose pliers for the snap wrings. An adjustable wrench to get the funky looking sheet metal nut off. A dremel to cut slots into the inner tie rods if they are really staked in there. Follow what the manual says in this case, its fairly straightforward. Thats about it from what I remember, have fun!

This is a step by step that goes hand in hand with what the manual says:

I've done a few of these, as recently as last week. They really are easy to replace and straightforward. The inner tie rod ends are pinched where they screw on to keep them locked on. I cut the pinched area off of my old inner tie rod so that I could unscrew them off. After the tie rod is off, you take out the old plastic bushing. The bushing is held in by three plastic tabs that latch on to a groove inside the rack. I used a pick to pry each back, then put a cut piece of wire tie in place to keep it from locking back onto the rack. After I did that with all three tabs, the bushing just pulled right out. I then used emery cloth to clean the inside of the rack, and the shaft. Then you can fairly easily slide Rodney's new rack bushing on until it seats in the rack. Drilled three holes through the tube and into the bushing, and put rivets in to hold the bushing in place. Put your new inner tie rod on, put your new boot on, and re-install the rack back into the car. It's about an hour job.
