I was filling up my car at a gas station when I hear the guy on the other side of the station yell out "Is that a fiero?" Yep, sure is haha. Of course he asked me if I have seen that Lambo and I was all matter of fact, "Yeah, that's Don. He's a great guy." He tried explaining how he had a fiero and once again, matter of factly (I was excited to be talking about something I knew about! But I wasn't like, rude about it or anything) I said He's got a fiero frame with a lambo kit.
He goes on telling me he knows someone that worked on that car, I asked him if it was Joe, and he said that the guys name was Guy. But they have worked on it together (I think).
He says he's seen me driving around and was happy to see a true fiero, because there's not many around here.
It was my first random conversation with the fiero and it was really cool having that "Yeah I know all of the people around here and Spokane with a fiero" feeling. Just thought I'd share. Pretty much made my night :P
It is neat to have some one come up and start a conversation about your car. Same things happened to me many times. Mostly they talk about I remember when those came out or the "i had a friend that had one...." type of conversations. The flip side is sometimes people will ask what kind of car it is and you have to take them to school on it .lol. No matter its always good to be appreciated.

"Guy" did some substandard work on my car and charged me more than three times as much as originally agreed on. I had to sue him in small claims court to get satisfaction. I came out alright but I would never recommend him.

Oh wow, that is not good. I don't plan on going to someone I don't know for help. But that's good to know if I ever encounter him and he offers to help lol

I have found that people are surprised to see a Fiero that: #1 Hasn`t been made into a Kit Car. #2 Is in such good shape and not in a field somewhere. One of the biggest kicks I get is when kids come up to look into the front and they see the spare and no engine and a confused look comes over their face. Then they go to the back and sort of giggle, especially if they are calling a friend over to see.
When she's washed and waxed I get some of the younger generation turning heads or asking what kind of car I have. The older generations I get the same as everybody else. The standard "nice to see one still on the road" to a random honking and a thumbs up to offering me $6000 for her at the McDonald's drive through! Then last week I had a couple sitting beside me at a light and they were having a friendly argument about what type of "Pontiac GT" I am sitting in. I settled the argument by telling them leaving the guy in the other car happy as he had guessed right. I then left him at the light as I drove away.

Well as I stepped out of the house to go to the mall and walked down my block, two older neighbors started asking me about it.. Nothing fiero specific really since they still don't know what the hell it is- but I told em about the upcoming engine swap and current suspension build.. Now they're all excited to see it done haha.

About two years ago I had a car wash attendant ask me why I was taking my Ferrari thru the car wash. Last month I had some kids in a Honda want to street race me. (Might have tried but the car was running like crap. It's fixed now.) And yesterday I had a young guy say 'nice ride' when I pulled into the McD's.

It's so awesome! I always thought I would get these kinds of comments in the firebird but I don't. I guess it's too common. I love my baby I hate it when I have to drive my other car, like right now The clutch fluid went dry so Shill is working on that (I had school, he had to take me home). Hopefully it gets fixed by tomorrow!
