I JUST got my Fiero Store GT tail light lenses. and I have to say I am very happy with them. yes they are not perfect, the lettering has some problems from the fusing that caused misshapen edges. but it will not be visible unless someone is looking for it. They are crystal clear and solidly built. In fact they survived UPS's smashing of the box and what looked like them crushing it with a truck. fiero store needs to switch to FedEx, at least they dont try and destroy packages.

From what I can tell, these replacements may not suffer from delamination like the originals did, but only time will tell, I'll let everyone know in 20 years how they look.

Compared to the ridiculous and silly prices any NOS tail light assemblies are going for when they ever appear, these are dirt cheap, as cheap as buying a set used that still need to be cleaned up.

i need some new lenses on my 88 as you can see from this pic

they have some weird cracking going down the drivers side and some delamination at the top.
that isnt very high on my priority list right now though and i wanna get new quarter windows first. how does the lens come apart though? is there some adhesive or something?

Its surprisingly easy. They just sort of pry apart; you'll see the clips which hold them together. There's some old dry-rotted adhesive in there.

My original taillights were in reasonable shape but when I got my new lenses from the Fiero Store, I sought out the nastiest, most delaminated pair I could find and used them to retrofit with the new lenses. They really look good as new now (and I still have my originals as spares).

Yup, if you use a hairdryer or do it on a hot day in the sun they come apart easily. I'll take a bunch of photos as well as before and after of the taillight illumination to show the difference between the faded origional paint inside the lenses reflector assembly and what the gloss super white will do.

These tail lights were made using the original molds from GM. I looked over Carbon's old len's and they had the same blem's in the letting as does his new ones being sold.
