I never had a problem giving my full name. Im even in the phone book if you want to call me one on one. Sometimes, it is easy to get a thread off track when someone might bring up something that brings something similar or linked to that. I do that myself, prob a lot more than necessary. When you have thousands of people involved in anything, your going to have disagreements where both parties arent willing to give in. Thats just the way life is. The thing that really get me boiling are being flat out called a liar when you may know first hand your not. Even something as simple as washing a car can be done a dozen different ways....none is right nor wrong to 100% of the people.

Usually the worse the technical information the more argumentative the poster will be. A few here on PFF become really belligerent and abusive about it, and when contrary evidence is presented will try to save face by claiming that it's only a point of view or, finally, thatit's just not that important.

Sure Marvin,
I'll bet you're one of those guys that claim the earth isn't flat aren't ya? You probably believe that the Sun isn't going around us also. Give it up Marvin, the earth is flat and we are the center of the universe.

When I see your posts (and Paul's) about painting, I will sometimes ask a question because I want to know more about painting and you two are free with advice. That is an example of where I have digressed and committed the error of hijacking a thread within a thread about hijacking and bickering without constructing a run-on sentence with misspelled words. Marvin can do the same thing in only two sentences--I always knew he is smarter than I am.

I find myself doing the same thing. Is this wisdom? Or just laziness? I agree with Bloozberry's reason for starting this thread. It seems sometimes there is a serious lack of politeness. With a little effort you can disagree with something without being rude about it. But who likes ice cream? Hey look a butterfly!!!
