I didn't say I bought it. Last time we spoke he was close to doing it. Kinda.. left it open for me to purchase in the future if the resto hasn't started yet.
the easiest way to convince the women in you life is what i tell my wife and that is
"I am the brains of the partnership and all you have to do is just sit back, relax smile and look pretty"
it is generally best for the first time you say this to be a least a good distance away so you have chance to either dodge the any missles likely to come youre way or a head start on the run you are going to have

Andy, that was super funny. Sorry Stu but it was too funny. I hate your going through that. I just buy them and bring them home. Whats she going to do? Gripe and get over it! Least mine does.
Whomever came up with the ziptie on the drive shaft, AWESOME! That's super funny. I think I may try that on my father-in-law! LMBO
Another good one is to take a 18 gauge wire and jumper from the break fuse to the horn. Every time they hit the brakes the horn blows! Its freaking funny to watch someone figure that one out! HAHA

So I typed in fiero into crazedlist and found an Indy within distance and within budget. I called a friend who knew the owner to ask on lowest cost since they are friends and even told my wife (BIG MISTAKE). I was sitting here planning it's restoration and figuring what all it would need and found I could finish it in time to take it to Frazee in July....... Then THE WIFE (insert JAWS THEME here) came into the garage and spouted off... Don't you already have a project car? And doesn't the 87GT need some attention too? What about them, Why not finish them FIRST!
DANG YOU WOMEN!!!
So yeah I know of an Indy in 6 of 10 condition and morally cannot get it.
This is exactly why my wife and I have worked out how to handle these situations.
We budget for everything! (We don't use credit cards.) We set-up accounts in our books (my wife is an accounting specialist and I have bookkeeping training) for everything and each payday, and sometimes in between, we add money to the accounts (my wife is an accounting specialist and I have bookkeeping training).
If I need to buy something for the car (or another car, if one becomes available) I just check the balance and, if I can afford it, I buy it. My wife has no input unless I ask her opinion (which I do occasionally for domestic tranquility).
This has worked out nicely. And, yes, she has accounts for the things she is interested in.

I'm social.. She isn't I don't watch much T.V. at all Prefer Radio. All I can remember is her watching T.V. I love being around family.. She hates my family I am calm spirited a level minded... She flips like a switch. No in between. For many years of marriage there was two modes to the relationship They both start with F and one was Fighting. That's it. When the last 4 years I was the referee between her and our daughter.. enough was enough.
