Well, my Fiero needs new paint, and I thought flat black would be a good replacement of my factory black car. Then I thought custom Pin Striping like on an old school hot rod goes well with a flat black paint job, But I didn't know if that would look good on the angular body of the Fiero (Mine is a Notchback). Also what kind of wheels would look good with this kind of paint job? What do you guys think?

I'm running flat black with Scion TC rims. They have kind of a gold tint. I'll be stripping them for the silver look soon. My brakes are red, but I am thinking of going yellow with some other yellow accents.

Well, I really like your car carver, especially with those wheels. I have been thinking of doing a black and gold color scheme. But I'm not sure if the Hot Rod style pin stripes would look good, or cheesy.

How does black wheels with red or gold pinstriping appeal? Or maybe an anodize wheel... (red or gold)

You might want to alternate between gloss & flat panels... such as glossy fenders, bumpers, door panels. Flat hood, roof, & deck.

Some kind of red or gold graphic scheme.. without becoming ricey.

Just a suggestion.

There were a lot of "satin finish" paint jobs at SEMA. They are not exactly flat, but have a sheen to them. Some of the other colors besides black look good in satin finish as well.

Well, The only reason I suggested black, is because my car is already black, and I didn't want my door jambs and what not to look out of place. What colors of satin did you like at SEMA?

I like the wheel/paint combo. It would look nice on a Fiero.

I know Dustin in Joplin has a flat black color on his Fiero, but his username escapes me. Might be Fiero Dustin or something similar to that effect.

EDIT: fierodustin_86's Fiero:

Just be careful. You can't buff out ANYTHING. It's a gamble for sure.

Very nice cars guys. I like the color on that SEMA car too, at first it looks grey, but when you look at it, its very silvery. So, nobody knows of any Fiero's with pinstriping?
