When I bought my first GT back in 1993 (an '86) it had a strange badge on the nose. The PO said he got the badge when he worked at the GM proving grounds in Milford, MI. I removed it and promptly replaced it with with a proper badge and never thought much about it. However, I found it a few days ago going through some things in the house, so I tried looking up Fiero badges on Google and can't find anything like it.
Has anybody here seen a badge like this before?
I never thought to much of the PO's story, however it is a little to big to be from a key fob
Thanks,
Jerry
It is copper in color and slightly smaller than a standard GT nose badge. It is solid metal, the lettering and pegasus are raised over the background there is a clear coating over the badge. The badge is about 3mm thick. The first pic shows the color most accurately, at least on my monitor

These wheels are often incorrectly referred to as "rims". The term "rim" is incorrect because the rim is only the outer portion of a wheel (where the tire is mounted )

Looks like a badge that has fallen apart. Take off the plastic face of a metal badge and this is what your left with...
Wrong size to be a broken badge, also is different enough to not be an early 84-86 coupe badge. Let's see the backside of it, are there any marks or studs that may help in i.d.ing this badge?

I have one somewhere but haven't broken down the Christmas decorations yet. Don't think I have a picture. The one they have now is different than the old one.
Could be an older model of it. The one I have is this one, and it is pretty tuff, possibly a composite.. Are you positive its not pewter? You could sand the edges lightly and see if silver comes out.
