I have this stupid idea that a Countach replica is my ultimate goal as far as cars are concerned. So, naturally, today I found a source for replica wheels and started wondering how they would look on my fiero (very hypothetical, I know). The wheels I found are replicas of the style found on the quattrovalvole and (I think) LP500S and 5000S (see image)
My car is a silver '85 bumperpad notchie
edit: anyone with photoshop skills care to show us what it would look like?

they'd look just fine i think, not exactly my style but still i think would be ok.

These wheels are often incorrectly referred to as "rims". The term "rim" is incorrect because the rim is only the outer portion of a wheel (where the tire is mounted )

I checked centerline, cragar and weld (if weldracing.com is the weld you're thinking of?). Centerline and weld do have wheels which would look right on a diablo, or even a countach if you're going for an updated sort of look. But check out imagewheels.co.uk for a great replica.

Well lets assume you decide to buy a set of wheels will you widebody your fiero now before you make it a lambo? You do realize that a lambo is over a foot wider your gonna stick out 6-8 inches on 4 corners. What will you do about the front you wont be able to steer with the stock body. Sorry to burst your bubble but unless your really going to build one and already have the body off you won't be fitting any lambo wheels i am afraid they won't fit.

I would consider wide-bodying it, yes. Then again, I might not, but it would still be interesting to see how it would look. The one thing I wouldn't do is try to achieve the countach track by using a different offset in combination with the original fiero suspension (how wide can we go with 15-inch wheels on a fiero and still keep the offset somewhere between ET38 and ET48 anyway?) just relax

I had a 4 inch offset built in my Ferrari wheels to bring them out to fender lip. It handled awesome and never had any bearing problems in 100K. I dont remember what the offset was on the Diablo, but they were that or more. I like deep dished wheels anyway.

wow, that would be like ET-65? Or ET-100? The scrub radius would be... interesting to say the least, if you used that for the front Deep dished wheels do look good

The problem i am trying to tell you about is with the given room under the front guards anything over an 8 inch wide wheel will hit the front bumper before you turn the steering half a turn otherwise cut into the front bumper and you should be fine if you don't mind hanging out an inch or two upfront and about four inches on the rear.

I see what you mean and a wide-body wouldn't be out of the question to solve these issues

I run 245's up front on my lowered 88 w/o any rubbing, but they are also 24.6" in diameter.

It didnt seem to affect scrub radius much, car handled like it was on rails, and i had excellent tire wear. I sold it with still very good Dunlops that had been on it for over 60,000 miles. The offset on the front wasnt quite as deep. I used 225/60/16s all around and the rims were all 8". I didnt have the Diablo long enough to see how they worked out....it was a POS from Warlock.
..Most replica cars are never finished by original owner ,it takes Dedication and a PILE of money,,Sorry ,, make that a BIG Fornicating PILE of money,,I am helping right now to build an exact replica Lambo... ..Try to get one running or in the late stage of build
