I have been driving around in my multicolored Fiero for 5 years now. I simply don't have a place or the equipment to attempt my own paint job, and I don't have enough money to have one done professionally. So I'm wondering if anyone here has the capability of doing a decent garage job for some extra cash. I live near Hartford CT, I would be willing to travel to a neighboring state depending on the travel distance. I have an 88 GT, it has some trouble spots with flaking and cracks, these need some filler before paint. I did some in the past, but then it sat so long outside that it needs touch up again. So if you think this is something you can do, and have a little experience please contact me and maybe we can work something out.
This is what the bastard looks like now.
Oh and BTW, the red in my bar is from political fights in OT not from buying/selling/or tech stuff.

If no one else is around, and you don't mind buying the sandpaper/paint, etc I might be able to help you out. My uncle and I did some paint work on his black GT. He did the actual spraying here in the garage thing in NB. Its not a $3000 professional job, but its not horrible.
Hard to tell in the pic, but that does look pretty damn good. I'm not after a top notch paint job, just a decent one. You know me, I just can never muster enough time or money to do it right, so I just want it done period. It's beginning to really irritate me. Are you back in Connecticut now? Lets hook up and have a beer and talk about what's possible with this thing. I'll throw you guys some cash of course.

Dan, I'm back in CT, no fiero though. I bought a grand prix as my daily, 98 gtp, so I drove that home instead. I don't do a damn thing now that I'm home for the summer, still lookin for a job. Let me know when is good, and we'll catch up.

If you're looking to get it all one color you could always do the "$50 Rustoleum" job. A few people on here have done it on Fieros and it's been done on all other kinds of vehicles.
I spy my old car in the Kick Hill photo. Why not get a cheap Maaco paint job? I had one of my wife's cars painted a few years back for about $300 and it looked pretty good. Make sure you remove whatever trim you don't want them to paint. The paint job looked good for several years until I sold the car. http://www.maaco.com/paint-overall.aspx

Nice looking Fiero. What color are you shooting for? (And yes, his red is from politics. ) I like the rims. She will look good in a fresh paint job.
It's going to be electron blue, like from an early 2000's Nissan 350z. Unfortunately I sold those rims though. I now have some small 14" 5 stars. I liked those rims but they were too heavy and the lugs didn't secure well. They were always breaking bolts, which as you know is a pain to replace.
