so i finally went out and got a gtech ..just cause i never get a chance to get to the track

so i go calibrate it up ..put in the weight ..calibrate the rpm's and the accelrometers

go take it for a test run

first run

16.02

89 hp at 778 rpm
and 583 ft/ lbs of torque at 778 rpm

so the question is ..what did i screw up on the calibration

motor is a 3.2 L stroked and bored 2.8
every part possible in the motor lol

the motor sounds bad ass with the exhaust ..but not 580 ft lbs of torque bad ass lol

I haven't personally used one, but I would recalibrate it to the way the instructions say, and then take it to the track and compare how accurate it is.

I had one (still think I have it somewhere) of the origional ones. I used it in many vehicles and it always seemed pretty accurate.

If I remember correctly the calibration on the old ones was only weight of the vehicle but being mounted level in the car was also important. Mine would do 0-60, 1/4 mile, horizontal G force, and skid pad i believe.

from the looks of it - the problem is in the RPMs - seem to be missing a digit

16.02 is actually a reasonable time for warmed up 3.2 with a auto trans.
and 89 HP - yes - a bit weak. but - with drivetrain loss thru the TH125 autotrans....puts you in the 120's for overall HP.
and reality is 140 at best for a basic 3.2

My TBI 4.5/4t60 consistently came up with 15.1 on the G-tech. I've never taken it to a track to see how close it is though.
