I have an 87 V6 Fiero where the previous owner ran over a mailbox and crushed the water pipes that supply the heater core. These are the 3/4" dia pipes that run along the bottom right side of the gas tank and not the coolant pipes that run to the radiator. I am looking for suggestions on ways to replace these pipes.
These are my three ideas:
1 fabricate new pipes from 3/4" conduit. This would require bending, forming and welding.
2. go to steel braided line, with a T fitting and nipple ends so the heater core hoses and the return can connect.
3. Eliminate th steel lines and just run 3/4 " heater hose all the way.
4.. put a request out for some good used pipes but these are parts that most who part out Fieros don't remove.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
